While everybody can hear that he used some creative production techniques it's a whole different story to analyze it, remake it and present it like you did, Navie. Congrats! Regarding the 2nd example wasn't there a controversy back in the days because he did not clear the sample? I always wonder if that was his decision or the idea of the label to rip off those middle eastern artists.
@FuturaNos
@FuturaNos Жыл бұрын
They settled. Technically it’s the label’s legal team to clear the sample. The producer of the Big Pimpin sample wanted more ownership into the song but the court decided against it.

Thank you for this one. Im from the 757 and love Pharrell, Timbo, Missy, Davonte...pretty much anything from the Tidewater Area. I think one of the big things Timbp does, that you might have missed (or maybe saving for a part 2) is incorporating beatboxing in the beat. Someone might have mentioned this but i didnt read all the comments. Great breakdown.

This is crazy. My mom and sister listened to her music when I was a kid. It's crazy to also see the producer behind the song showcase wild I don't think beatmaking on KZfaq even existed idk it's really interesting. Even exciting when something is giving an example in your favorite DAW mines for example is fl studio. Seeing the details behind it in fl studio is really crayy feels wierd in a good way

Love Timbo to death for much of his earlier work (10 year plus ago) but he tends to rely on co-producing a lot more these days and his beats aren't as ahead of the curve as they once used to be. Most times we refer to his best work is his old work. Was also very underwhelmed by his Masterclass series.

Yes, Royce was originally on renegade The actual song is even floating on KZfaq somewhere. Jay was trying to do the whole end feature thing and he showed him some stuff and then he asked if he could have that song and just keep Em's verses on it. It was already recorded and finished before hat did anything with it...which makes it a fact that his verses were written(Jay styled in the booth or whatever) AFTER hearing Ems.

Navie, your soundpacks are amazing. Been working on producing for a while and got a lot of different sounds from different places, but when I got your most basic pack something just clicked. The quality is so good, it's like a catalyst for ideas. In a couple of hours I created something I feel is better than anything I've done before. Maybe I just got better at producing, but the sounds just inspired me. I can't afford the more expensive ones right now, but when I got the money I know where I'm gonna put it. Keep up the good work, cause you're inspiring a lot of people
