This experiment is so like when I began to learn making beat,and I tried to use all the techniques and tricks learnt on KZfaq , adding some “innovative ” idea to it.(personally ) and I played for my friends, and got “WTFs”.LOL😂 I am so grateful that you make this video, remind me the old days I watching your tutorials ❤

Was hoping for a Navie upload today. Believe it or not, I'm currently in a sort of a rut when wanting to create, because I've been, somewhat unknowingly, limiting my creativity. And of all the topics to choose from, he chose experimental.. haha. Out here reading minds and whatnot, are we? Opening FL as I speak. Thanks!

Been trying to go in this direction but I have been kind of in paralysis analysis. JPEGMAFIA is a big inspo but he uses ableton. I use Fl and mpc beats. Should I pick up another DAW for making experimental things more efficiently? Of course I know most skills can be translated but I'm still considering it. Would love your feedback.
@justsurrealist1533
@justsurrealist1533 Жыл бұрын
Obviously not the guy that made the video, but I'd suggest staying with the daw you're comfortable with. Unless you're trying to put in the time to learn ableton. The techniques are transferable. I'd also suggest navie D's jpegmafia video.

Alright folks, I’m not even gonna justify this one with a watch, let me explain: The only way to make experimental music is to be experimental. Following a tutorial is the antithesis of that. If you want to make experimental beats, experiment. Just do things you otherwise wouldn’t. There is no formula for it, there is no method to the madness. You can’t be experimental until you can break from the confines that tutorials such as this build around you. Just make music.

Ngl there’s no way to make an “experimental” beat. It’s not a thing you just do, it’s something that comes out of years of developing your own style and techniques. When you experiment it should be distinctly YOU
