Split into teams, Mel Giedroyc, Hugh Dennis, Joe Lycett, Noel Fielding and Lolly Adefope must navigate an obstacle course with one person in a wheelie bin and the drivers blindfolded... oh and no one can speak English. Full task from series 4 of Taskmaster.

------------
In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

@@olscratch74 No..it's about a hairproduct and the added scents. Not everything is racist, dear. I call white people licorice-dick if they're acting stupid. That has to do with Dutch licorice and not with skincolour. Stop obsessing over people's skin, it's what inside that matters, even if the person is white on the inside.

@@olscratch74 I'd also like to add for your peace of mind, that there is no possibility that Joe is standing there and thinks to himself; 'Hm, Lolly is speaking German with a bit of an Hitler-volume. That is a black girl acting white. I better ask Lolly if Lolly is a white girl, in some American slang that I happen to have knowledge of.' There's a thing they taught autistic Christopher in the wonderful movie with Helena Bonham Carter (Magnificent 7) and that is; 'Is it likely?' If you, UnbearableWitness, think you overheard a slur, ask yourself; 'Is it likely?' For example..in the Netherlands, the word 'kijk' is pronounced as 'kike.' It means; 'Look over there.' There is no way that everytime you hear 'kijk' in Amsterdam...there is someone being racist in American. If you get upset over something in Amsterdam and a lovely Dutch woman tells you, with a friendly and kind expression on her face; 'Dear UnbearableWItness...no need to get upset, it's okay whore.' then *ask yourself if it's likely that she meant to insult you.* Would that be likely? No, she's caressing your shoulder and offering you a tissue. Then why did she say whore? Well...you could ask. Probably because 'hoor' (pronounced as whore) means "hear me out, you're okay" in Dutch. Do you understand what I mean?

@UCSx9NwJt8Z1f-bDuSAr1OzQ (your name keeps coming up as a code) But, sorry to say...is she a coconut (white inside) woman if she doesn't speak like Big Narstie? Does every person have to act "black" in order to be black? And what is "black behaviour" then? I never really associated difficult-to-understand-rambling with black folk before. I never felt "Big Narstie" was a stereotypical Black man. I mean..maybe it's because black people in the Netherlands don't over-do their "blackness", but I've never seen a black person in here and thought; 'Oh hey, wow, that person is acting black." There's no such thing as 'acting black' to me. And if that exists, I don't think I'm aware of the characteristics of 'blackness.' I can't recognize those characteristics. If I see a black person saying; 'Oh deary dear, I love me some tea, *sip sip* then I'm not missing a 'Ahw hell naw, where my sugarcubes at?!" I mean..don't black people have the freedom to act the way they want to...like the rest of us do? I'm Dutch and I don't like herring and only have cheese on tosti's and macaroni. Not in cubes. I don't feel like I need to eat my cheese in cubes, to be a proper Dutch person.

Mel's accent very distinctly from France, not like my weird Canadian-English/Canadian-French/European-French mashup. Though I think she clearly hasn't used much recently since she forgot a couple of words. For example: 1:06 Instead of "reculez" she says "reversez" (frenchifying the english word "reverse"). "Reverser" is actually a french verb but it means to pour something again (i.e. re- verser), not go backwards. 2:00 She says "faire le bouf" which is just an onomatopoeia, instead of "exploser" (pop/explode). "Bouf" sounds like "bouffe", which means "food" (so instead of "pop the balloon" she actually said "make the food"). 2:05 She says "il faut burster le ballon". "Burster" is again frenchified English.
@Widdekuu91

@@narayandonaldson Haha, well, there's quite a load of "false friends" that might make it very difficult to communicate in Dutch. Links is left, but screaming; 'Lynx, lynx' might confuse them for the beginning. "Achteruit" (Ah-g-tear-auyt, pronounced in English) is backwards and 'Laat de ballon knallen' (Láát d-uh ballon kná-ll-anne) is 'burst the balloon' haha. But I agree, it's far closer to English than french :P
@narayandonaldson
@narayandonaldson 3 жыл бұрын
@@Widdekuu91 Yeah you'd certainly need to be careful about word choice, haha. Though they figure it out immediately when Lolly says "links" at 3:23. For popping the balloon I'd say "ontPLOF de ballon" with focus on the sound of "plof". Knallen could also work if you really emphasise the "knal" sound. And on a vaguely related note, I wish we called clogs "klompen" in English too, since it's such a perfect word for the sound they make. And for backwards I'd say "niet voorwaarts, maar achteruit" and emphasise the "achter" (similar to English "after", which people might be able to make a mental connection to "backwards", similar to how they connected "schnel" to forward). With Dutch I think the trick would be to not speak properly, but rather speak broken Dutch with emphasis on the words similar to English. It just needs to be "Dutch" enough to count as not speaking English.
@Widdekuu91
@Widdekuu91 3 жыл бұрын
@@narayandonaldson Hahaha, I totally agree with you, but the thing is..if I was in this course, I'd have trouble explaining the words back into Dutch, even without paying attention to the broken-Dutch-preferance :P So, with stress involved, it'd be very difficult, but it would be possible if there was a bit more time (or no time-limit at all.) You mentioned you were French, right? Or did I remember that wrong? I had the conversation with you yesterday haha, it's a very hot day today, my brain is like a fried marshmallow at the moment. @@Snaakie83 Aaaahh okay, I get it haha. I have had this channel for 13 years now, never been called Widdekuu in real life, but I like how sometimes people online, shorten it to Widde. They just go; 'Oh hey, Widde, I saw you on a different video.' xD I don't know, it's just funny, I came up with something 13 years ago and now, in 2020, I still get called by the nickname I took 10 seconds to decide back then.
