The loud click of the crappy mouse that comes bundled with it is spot on. Crazy that the NVR still doesn't support the keyboard for shortcuts and entering the password quickly - 2 years after this feature was requested!

What about a web interface? Not using a dedicated monitor? Do you get the same experience? Or is it's just about the same as the app going straight to the camera using the SD card

I'm having very big problems with Reolink camera about connection remort viewing i can't connecting my camera but i can when i'm same wifi network trying to do contract customers service for this issue the can't help me which is shame.

Most wanted feature that is currently missing from the NVR software: One or two click saving of snapshot jpg (single frames) from captured video to a USB thumb drive. At the moment I can save just a few seconds of video, but not a single frame. and if I try to email the video clip to someone, usually they cannot access it, because they don't yet have the Microsoft High Definition Video Codec.

Hello, tell me please, i bought a new RLN12W NVR, installed and managed to activate my cameras , but i dont understand, now i can unplug the internet cable from NVR to let this on Wi-Fi or must be always connected to internet with cable? This NVR is not with cable ad wi-fi?

In the official page say that it cans work in areas until 1000 meters, is this real?. I want connect it with 12 Argus pt ultra but they are 300 m from the central property with the nvr. It will work?

Yes, and it will label the timebar with color codes for what even happened like person, motion detection, etc.

I'm just discovering and learning about NVR systems. I'm looking to get away from wifi cameras as they are just not reliable enough (constant lag, rebooting, etc). I have three distinct security zones that all need at least five cameras each, am I able to connect multiple nvrs together on the same system?

Yes, it overwrites the earliest files when storage is full. You can also manually turn off overwrite and it'll stop recording once storage is full.

Does the router Lan cable need to be hooked up for setup wizard to activate??

If a camera is damaged by buglers and doesn’t power up or stolen but it was connected to Reolink NVR, cn you retrieve footage within the NVR for the camera?

@@ReolinkCameras Are you saying the camera needs to be powered on in order to retrieve its recorded footage? This makes no sense. Footage is recorded onto the HDD and should be able to be accessed if need be, with or without the camera. In OP's case, if I need to see who vandalized the camera, I should be able to see the footage.

Does the NVR and SD card in the camera record at the same time or if connected to an NVR will it only record on that?

Yes how do you get rid of the little 8m box in the corner of the display it has no use, and also get rid of the little camera in the corner? they get in the way of live viewing, thanks

G'day, I have just upgraded the firmware on my NVR (16) Now I am relearning all the features as it has a new layout but it also matches the new instruction video you put out. I have seen that it now has more than 16 dispay positions. Does that mean I can run/display more than 16 camera feeds? e.g. could I run 8 regular cameras, 2 dorbell, 2 PTZ, 5 duo cameras and a floodlight/spotlight (total 16 POE connections)? I have had the Reolink system since April 2021 and it has been easy enough to work out how to use and set up. I am usuing 13 cameras at the moment. One is a PTZ. I do not use notifications as I would probably have constant alarms going off. As I an get a lot of pedestrian trafic the PTZ is better aimed at where everybody mast pass by rather than try to track the odd person walking past. I have started uploading some CCTV to KZfaq if you want to see what some of my real life results are like. I turn on floodlights every night so that I can run several cameras in colour mode. Can share just one camera to a friend? I have 2 Nvrs. I am renting a garage space and want to share just the 1 camera. Or can I only share my whole account, or just one NVR and not the other

If you connect the camera directly to the NVR, then you can not share just 1 camera instead of sharing all the cameras in the NVR. If you connect the camera via the POE switch to the NVR, then you can share the camera separately with your friend.

Thanks for the video. I am setting up an RLK8-811B4-A 4K Smart PoE Camera System with 5X Optical Zoom & Spotlights for a friend of mine, but he will not let me connect to your Reolink app or his modem. Can I set up this system without the app or a computer?

@@ReolinkCameras the doorbell is a normal wired doorbell, no camera. I have a reolink camera watching the entrance tho. I want to wire the doorbell into the alarm io ports.

1:35 mmm that doesn't work for 12MP cameras. If I choose more than 1 camera a message pops-up indicating "with cameras over 8 MP; only 1 camera can be viewed".

Yes, it could only support to playback one camera that over 8MP. Our engineers are trying to overcome it.

Hello Mike, thanks for your question. Click the camera view, and you can see an image icon on the NVR UI. Click the icon, and you can see the option to display dual images.

Currently, when the TrackMix camera is connected to the NVR, the NVR monitor can display its dual images and the iOS app does not support dual-image display. Our R&D team is working on making the dual images available on the app when the cam is connected to the NVR.

Looking to buy Reolink for my home, but no information on how you support multi-hdd in the NVR. Is there RAID, can you upgrade from 1 disk to 3, what if 1 fails? This should be basic information available to all. And please explain how to download or delete individual video's. Also please fix your microphone before uploading more official video's.

OK in my garage i have 3 POE cameras connected to a POE switch and bridged to my main router at my house. Cameras come in fine on my computer buuut theyre not recording on my NVR they have no playback. Is there a setting or a way to have the NVR record those bridged cameras????? Or put them in nvr channel list. Right now they appear as a device next to the NVR. I thought they would automatically connect to the NVR😬😬😬

I purchased an RLN36, but to my frustration, the web UI lacks the capability to add a camera. This is a total disappointment. Is there no live chat support available? This is outrageous!

None of this is possible it seems without a whole lot of data being used. At 4gb an hour just to live view (on high setting) or even 2 on a lower setting is going to go fast. Great info though

Can the Reolink NVR be backup with cloud storage? let’s say if the NVR breaks or is stolen?

Hi, Reolink NVRs do not support cloud storage. But you can download videos to your computer via Reolink Client or upload videos to the FTP server for backup.
