I love you and Brock together. I was once that mom, trying to always step in and help mother my grown daughter take care of her daughters, always giving advice on how I would do the things. Stepping back to let her be mom and make the decisions that she needed to make, right or wrong, figure things out for her family was hard. However it was what we both needed. I’ll always be here for them, grand mom, but I’ve learned not to step in unless I’m needed. ❤ ❤

Team Brock over here, LOVE your point of view! Sometimes you have to learn the hard way although it's rough, but we don't always have a backup or someone there to show us how things are supposed to be. I think you two complement each other greatly and Brock gives you his POV, esp with the OCD. Our mental health is a challenge but it's not a crutch or excuse for our actions so we can learn from it esp through others eyes that don't have it

We’ll be out on the boat at the lake and my friend will hand her toddler another Capri Sun WATER, and her mom is like “she already had one, should she really have another?” Or she’s constantly telling my friend when she should apply additional sunscreen or she’ll tell her that her kid is sitting too close to the campfire at night, or she’ll tell her she isn’t dressed warm enough when the kid is running around the yard sweating lol. I can tell my friend is not the same and has huge anxiety when her mom does this, and she has a hard time even relaxing. We told her she can’t invite her mom to our lake house anymore until some boundaries are set. We invite my friend and her husband and her child to relax, not to be on edge the entire time.

I’m team Brock on the MIL situation. While you can give your advice when asked you are the Grandmother at that is also HIS CHILD. She needs to know her place. My mom was obsessed with my only child. My boy was the love of her life. She NEVER went against my husband if she thought a particular way about something. You can tell Schenna gets defensive when he speaks his mind. She better stop that now.

Summer Moon is a delightful little girl and she’s blessed to have so many people that love her. That’s a great problem to have.

God can heal you of your anxieties... I have always had severe depression and anxiety. My entire life and once I got baptized and was born again and started reading my Bible and putting my faith in the Lord. He has healed me. 🙌 I'm not on medication any longer. I can sleep at night etc.

Funny your dad left Holland when I moved to Rotterdam from Denmark. Must have been a bit overwhelming being back again. Being a mother in law myself with two todling pamper using grandkids .. I’m gonna say this loudly for the people in the back….. Scheana has been the most loyal and supportive friend to most of the people in the group at different times and yeah there may also be times when she closer to one over the other but as far as the Tom situation we need to understand they had a friendship of their own both before and without Ariana so for anyone to shame her because she’s conflicted is insane! Forgiveness doesn’t mean they’re gonna sit around and braid each others hair it simply means she’s choosing to not be angry at him and to let go of the hate. Let me be clear I can’t stand him for what he did to Ariana but to attack her for being in the same room as him or being tolerant is a bit much.

Scheana, your mum should not have to apologise because you’re the love of her life - just like Summer is the love of yours. You only have one mother. Please hold her first and foremost. Don’t treat her in any way that will make you regret. Please cherish every minute of her time on this earth with you.

It's super frustrating to me that so many people don't want to allow Scheana to be hurt at loosing her friendship with Tom. She's allowed to mourn that loss. That doesn't mean she's not supporting Ariana.

I don't know if it's a cultural thing but in our family myself and my brothers, we would never leave our kids with anyone who was not family. No nannies/caregivers who weren't blood related. Hispanic family.

I love The 1975 too and ALL my family lives in the NL in all provinces so even 3 weeks is not enough to visit them all. I don't get jet lag because I just never sleep when I get there in the mornings and then just go to sleep that night. Same when I come back but the last two trips our flights got messed up due to weather and took more than two days to come home over three flights. There are no direct non-stop flights from South Florida. Happy you guys loved NL as I am a first gen American with one of the most common Dutch names and speak it, read it but don't write it.

Brock and Sheana can't understand that Scheana's Mom can't help driving the train. She has been doing it for a long while which both Brock and Scheana benefit from, but every mother understands their feelings are not harsh they just are normal feelings. There is no need for Scheana to run from the nest, but instead keep on doing what she is doing and that is unifing the family. Brocks roars are normal but the roar could be trained to make his considerations heard through a midirator who will listen, give reasoning to bring forth compromises with the understanding that compromises consist of giving in to one another's needs without putting pressure on either one but being able to stand your ground with the security neither one will be punished for their desire to handle agreed compromises in a manner that will be comfortable for them and all others involved.
