Navigating Mercedes Dash Menu's Plus Hidden Options

In this video I help you navigate the Mercedes Dash menu from a W230 SL 2004 year, which was used in various models for about 8 years before the more modern variant.
Using the menu's can get a bit confusing, so I explain the 3 buttons that you only need on the steering wheel and how to enter sub menus for potential hidden options that you may not have know.
Points covered are:
How to show 'real time' vehicle speed in both MPH or KPH.
How to change the temperature between Centigrade and Fahrenheit
How to Change the 'delay in headlights' settings
How to turn the auto lock on and off
How to turn off the motion alarm with roof down
How to have the passenger mirror auto dip when in reverse
How to check the level of your oil through the menu
How to change the steering wheel or seat automatically adjust for easy entry
How to change the language

Thanks for the great video. I have struggled through the various menus to try to make the adjustments that work best for me, but some of the descriptions are a bit vague. I appreciate you taking the time to go through each of these and explain how to access and set each one. Cheers

Thank you so much for a great video, I purchased a sl350 today and it is set with I believe headlights constant and I could not find the menu, thanks to you I will hopefully find it tomorrow. I also need to set the time on the dash top digital clock but according to the book it is done through the command unit but I cannot find it, my car is a late 05 uk car r230 if you have any ideas Thanks again Michael

Have you heard of a feature which disables the parking sensors on the front of the R230, liked the vid.

Do you not just switch them off via the button near the gear shift, it goes red LED?

I don't think you can I've had a look on my car and went through all the menus on the dashboard but when I set my clock it will have to be through the command system which obviously you've now removed this should be a separate setting I would like to think on your new carplay system

I have heard on some models if you select the settings menu then go into instrument cluster by using the minus or plus button on the right stop steering wheel. Then use the left up arrow on steering wheel should give you celsius and fahrenheit press the up arrow one more time and some cars then show a clock setting some cars we will show a kilometres or miles option

Tried setting the mirrors and the easy entry/exit but it doesn’t seem to have those options. Only gives me option for steering wheel. Your vehicle must have more upgrades than mine.

Hi there, what age is your SL mate, if the option does not show then sadly it won't be on your car, I think this changed after 2004
