Hey BBG, I am autistic and have ADHD too 😊I wasn’t the easiest kid to raise, but I am a very happy, loved adult. I just wanted to reassure anyone with an autistic child that your kid has so many positive experiences to come, and so many happy days to enjoy 😊 and while it may feel like a shock, you already know your baby, they are 100% the same kid they were before, just with some of their personality explained better with the word autistic. Love y’all so much, and wishing you all happy days! ❤

I absolutely Love these hectic, chaotic, all over the place type of videos!! 1 because it's validating to see that I'm not the only one that has these type of days sometimes. And 2 you're showing an excellent example coping and/ overcoming these types of challenging times in a healthy way. You Keep Doing You Queen! 👑

Our Madison is low functioning Autism. She is 14 and so incredible!! You are going to see him grow and do things every day that amaze you! There is a gift here. It took us 4 years, 13 years ago we started to find out. She was 4 before we got the diagnosis. By then we already knew, but we still needed a moment. Now, at 14, she has shown us that she’s got this. Someone said, when she was little, what about prom, what about dating and driving. 2 weeks ago she went to prom and she was prom queen! Now back then I said to the person asking “why does she have to do those things?” She does so much! We take it a minute at a time. She loves her world and we feel so blessed to be a part of it. This is Jamison’s journey. You all are a part of it and you’ve got this! It’s a magical journey with ups and down but soooo much love! It will be a beautiful life with your beautiful babies!💙 🧩 💙

I remember doing speech therapy between 3 and 5 years old. I dont know what happened but I dont remember learning to read until I was 7 years old. My brain had a hard time learning to read. I basically pushed myself to read as a child. Eventually my mind picked it up and then I could not get enough. It gets easier. Have subtitles on at the same time. Your brain is still reading at fast pace. It teaches your brain to be quick. I even have subtitles on KZfaq for the same reason. Hugs. 💕

Thank you for sharing the beginning of your new normal with your adorable son! My son is 6 now & we got his official autism diagnosis at 4, but we had been trying to get him into services since he was 2. He is talking so much now & I think it’s amazing you are starting his speech therapy as soon as you can & that the waitlist wasn’t too long. I follow you & a couple other KZfaqrs who have kiddos with autism as well & I feel seen because with your platform you bring awareness & will help educate people on this as you’re learning. It’s definitely a journey, but you really celebrate every moment, every milestone & appreciate them that much more 💙 I can’t wait to see more vlogs of Jamison’s journey! You & Brandon are amazing parents!!

14:22 did you know that the uterus AND hormones both have a massive impact on our digestive health? No wonder so many people find probiotics and specific foods really help! 😊

I’m not that far yet into the video but I saw your comment and wanted to say that I believe it does. I’ve learned dealing with my own pelvic floor issues in 2021 and still now, which if you have hypermobility (just found out last year I have) you’re more at risk for pelvic floor issues, that it has had a huge impact on even the mobility of my digestive tract. When the tension is my pelvic floor is reduced my stomach will start gurgling even when the tension and knots are worked out of my legs my stomach will gurgle up a storm. It’s pretty much the only time I’ll ever feel hungry. Otherwise I deal with a lot of bloating pressure in my upper abdominal area.
@terryenby2304
@terryenby2304 Жыл бұрын
@@eloknu yeah, I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome which is basically hyper mobility + lol. I have had all kinds of issues with my digestive system, including a few months when it totally failed and I had to have food pumped in to my heart, fun times(!) lol. And I won’t explain the state my pelvic floor is in 😅😭… but suffice to say, taking care of our tummies is super important !
@eloknu
@eloknu Жыл бұрын
@@terryenby2304 I was actually a couple of months ago to see if I have eds because my pelvic floor therapist thought maybe I had it. Luckily I don’t but I can only imagine how difficult it must be with it. It’s very interesting having hypermobility and super important to know if you have it. I had knee surgery for a torn meniscus Feb 2021, 4-6 month recovery time. I’m still recovering from it and finally making progress. When I did PT the first time for it I was doing the wrong exercises which lead to patella tendonitis. Got a new Dr., went back to PT with someone who has experience with hypermobility. All of my exercises are different from before and I’m now making progress. I know how you feel with the pelvic floor, had a horrible GI doc whose treatment was magnesium citrate cleanses which totally messed with my pelvic floor so long story short now i deal with tension in it and I’m still trying to get that resolved and of course the tension leads to GI issues. The messed up thing is the G.I. issues that started it all turned out to be gall stones when my gallbladder was removed when I was 19 but it took an ER doctor to recommend an ERCP. Eh I consider myself to be a medical mystery. Both of my daughters have hypermobility, my eldest recently being diagnosed with juvenile arthritis, but my youngest has more hyper mobility than myself and my oldest combined so I find my issues as a positive to where I can put them on the right track so they don’t deal with my same issues when they get older. I apologize for the novel like comment but I’m glad I had found your initial comment here. It’s comforting to know I’m not alone in the GI/pelvic floor/hyper mobility struggle so to speak 💜

My nephew started speech therapy at 2 and my sister tried getting him into preschool and they rejected him because he tested at a 4-5yr old level. He will be 3 march 5th and he can trace words and speaks so well. It’s crazy what speech therapy can do. My son is 5mos younger and he JUST started saying more than one syllable at a time.

ah i remember speech therapy as a kid. I had an underbite and didn't know how to pronounce my R's with my tongue. So when I said purple it would be 'paple' or or break would be 'bweak'...stuff like that...I started speech therapy when I was around 5 and finished/achieved when I was 12....also did braces and additional stuff to braces (like rubber bands, spacers, etc.) when I was in 4th grade till 9th grade...so for like 6 of pain woo!! Do you think he will need his teeth worked on?
