I don't agree. Could have been much better. She's just using surface level words. There questions had much complexity in 'em but she translated just as simply as she could. They're not just talking to just any actor, but some1 who's a connoisseur of the art.

I disagree completely ! It could have been much better. Where Nawazuddin Siddhiqui has been so passionate and true with his responses, this lady has lulled them down just to do a straight translation in english ! I think the hosts of the channel understood him better without the translation ! Never the less. Nawazuddin Siddhiqui is a gem of a person ! True to his very essence.

I'm sorry but people who're saying that the translator is good, I beg to differ. She didn't explain to Nawaz a lot of what Rick actually meant properly. For ex: look at 34:30 what Rick is asking. He's asking, "What an actor needs to focus on, for becoming a working actor and to keep the roles coming?". And look at what she's saying. She's asking Nawaz "What an actor needs to do to stay focused?". Two totally different things. She didn't listen to Rick properly. At 3:05 Rick is asking, "What are other teachers that inspired you?". Nawaz said, "I used to do Russian and Sanskrit plays which had different teachers that helped me". She didn't concentrate on the "teacher" part which Rick actually wanted to know but just blabbered the Russian and Sanskrit stuff which she heard. She is simply not understanding things. Same was with a lot of other questions. She wasn't articulate in her explanations, to both Rick and Nawaz, was adding her own thoughts and explanations to what Nawaz said multiple times (Thakeray was never a CM), and doesn't know the meaning of Pet Peeve being a FREAKING translator. See at 33:12. She was explaining Nawaz the meaning of "guilty pleasure" instead of "pet peeve". I bet I have a better vocabulary than this girl. AND TRANSLATING IS NOT MY FREAKING JOB. Instead of accepting, "I don't know what pet peeve is", she says "I'm trying to understand how better can I explain him the meeting if pet peeve". Then Rick explains it articulately. Again at 39:15, this is not what Nawaz said. He said that Rick and Korbin point out some details that turn out to be true to what actually happens. These things turn out to be correct. Which is impressive. This is what he said. But that's NOT what she said. The lady needs to read and speak more English. She was simply not a good translator. I'm sorry. Rick and Korbin could've gotten so much out of Nawaz in this interview and I think they didn't get much. Because of this lady. She can't understand things, and isn't articulate while explaining things. Input and output both have errors. Not a good translator. EDIT: I haven't written everything because that'd be very long. Just look at 7:05. What Nawaz said and what she's saying. Nawaz is trying to tell Rick that, "Daniel Day Lewis did some minute things related to the character so well in Phantom Thread, you can't do this if you don't go full method.". And look at what she said. Fumbling like she just forgot what to say. And that's a freaking translator. I'm sorry, she was horrible for the most part.
