If the trio of Nawaz, Fahadh and Rajkumar Rao come together for a film, I'll be the most excited person to watch it. But it's sad that fahadh wouldn't work in hindi films. Instead of fahadh, if Manoj Bajpayi joins the other 2 for a film(last happened in GoW) then also I'd be equally excited.

Shahrukh khan and rajesh khanna became stars. And their stardom is a combination of their talent and charismatic nature. But yes it was very difficult not everyone is Shahrukh Khan or Rajesh khanna. And in the females, Madhubala and Priyanka Chopra were and are both called stars in their own right. But that again too many years of work and presence in the film industry to become stars.

Listen to him very carefully about nepotism and commercial movies. He said if you want to become a hero or a commercial actor, you become butt hurt by this nepotism thing. But those who have talent, they are not running behind commercial movies and fame. This is my thought also. A actor who came to become a star will always have to suffer nepotism but those who come to act only they find their own way. Like nawaz, irfan, radhika, pankaj tripathi and many more. They enjoy their journey of struggle and speak about their struggle without any regret or hatred.

@@daivasjallencherry4335 It's getting too much ... Nepotism is not easy for actors like Siddiqui because his children might aspire to become filmmakers some day but we can't demonize everyone in the name of nepotism. Nepotism will still extend to the first degree of people we know of because we are hardwired to look into safety. What I got annoyed with Ms Chopra is she is supportive of a dumb ass like Salman Khan and it's brainless stunts .. that did piss Siddiqui off. It's ok to say that Salman khan and his movies are BS, no matter, how bankable he is, in terms of success. The good news is, these people are slowly dying. Our mass crowd always get fascinated by these extra-human prowess because they want to be lifted out of their poverty and related issues miraculously. That gets harnessed in Salman khan movies. I would empathize with them but not Salman khan that refused to grow up at 50+

Nawaz has always been clear about the kind of roles he wants to play on screen. He is not after commercial success, he is in the filmmaking world purely because of his love for acting. He wants to explore avenues that nobody else wants to, so there is more scope for him. Just the way he talks about his acting performances shows how deeply connected he is to his craft. His commitment to acting is beautiful and I cannot wait to see what he does next - especially after coming out of lockdown. I sense he wants to immerse himself into a character in a way that he hasn't done so before. And that will be something new for us as an audience to witness, and I cannot wait for that moment when he returns in front of the camera - ah man, it's gonna be special!

There is place in the industry for everyone, yes it is easier for star kids but they have to work hard to prove themselves. Outsiders like Nawaz have to work even harder to make a place in the industry but, with perseverance and hard work one can conquer it like he did. You cannot blame star kids for being born to famous parents. The universe has a lot to offer, some get it more and some less, some have to work harder while some get it easy. The Hindi movie industry is more than 100 years old and it is here to stay no matter what people think today. No one can live without entertainment. Imagine a life without entertainment. Finally someone qualified and putting it out there in black and white. Gone are the days of popular cinema. The world is shrinking very fast with internet and OTT platforms. Content matters. YRF, Nadiadwala and similar production houses have a tough challenge in coming years. No room for plagiarism like in 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's. Audiences are very selective, critical and appreciative about good cinema.

Last six months , whenever I got time from my busy schedule , I used to watch movies. Once , I Accidentally watched Malayalam Movie , Trance !! I was shocked and surprised at their concept , acting , background music, cinematography and honest story telling !! Then , I Watched some more Malayalam movies subsequently, Bangalore Days, Kumbalangi Nights , Njan Prakasham. Since then , I am wondering why Bollywood can’t make such movies !! I think such scripts and stories demand huge talent from the STAR KIDS (star kids in acting , direction , production, music etc). And those STAR KIDS simply don’t have that talent. And that’s why they make one “Gully Boy” movie in Hindi and praise themselves for their “creativity” and “off beat cinema”!!! Malayalam movies are at least 10-15 years ahead of Bollywood and of Nepotism and Karan Johar do not enter their industry, they will stay blessed. !!

Akash Reddy If we go with that logic then Hollywood should be even more grand and mindless. Bollywood is basically hijacked by money minded investors whose only aim is to make movies to earn money. Just like Indian politicians , they know very well that educated middle class will only talk but won’t bring them “votes” (read money). Their target is the crowd which wants item numbers and never bothers about content. Malyaalam industry will spiral down once they get infested with such opportunists who don’t care a damn for artistry, poetry, acting, music and , good stories (stories need not be “realistic” but should be rooted and grounded in tangible conflict).

@@drfarhanshaikh9409 well, I understand your statement but it is hard for the malayalam industry to do that because the percentage of population who speak malayalam is very less when compared to hindi and telugu. So with less population, investors wont invest much. Your an exception who watches these movies with subs. Not many people do that. As for Hollywood, they make a lot of shitty movies. Most of the disney movies are shit. Michael bay makes shitty movies. Adam sandler movies are really bad. All industries are hijacked by money. No one wants to make a flop movie. Watch tumbbad. Excellent hindi movie.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is absolutely right and he is spot on when he says that no talent is required for big blockbuster movies such as Dabangg, Wanted, Chennai Express, Singham, Rowdy Rathore, Housefull etc etc. In those films all you have to do is enlarge your own 'EGO' and play the role, and not surrender it and then enact the character.

Nawaz is right in his own way anyway this whole thing regarding parallel art house and mainstream talented non talented debate is useless , present era commercial movies are routine but back in '60s or '70s there was thought process behind successful commercial cinema be it manmohan desai or yash chopra or subhash ghai ,and why need to copy serious cinema culture and theme from great movie making nations and criticize so called bollywood culture specially at this age when even mainstream movies are following content based trend, in hindi cinema content based great movies were right there from '50s and capable movies always go to various festivals and win awards and always have support from critics and separate intellectual audience base which has expanded a lot in the present era , this cinema is great in its own accord no need to belittle mainstream, and no one is ultimate actor no actor can fit in all kind of roles , yes great actors have a vast range , a good actor stands out even in a so called mediocre movie even that has its own audience and if in reality a hero does not know acting then the audience will never accept him whatever charisma he has, only when public start identifying with him , only when his acting , his mannerisms convince them , his dialogue delivery mesmerize them only then a hero becomes successful and its no easy job to face the camera and do one's stunt by oneself ,some people like 'Lawrence of Arabia' ,some people like 'Titanic' ,some people like 'Rambo' , kids like 'spiderman' or 'Jumaanji' or 'Mr. Bean' or 'Mr.India' , each one of them required different kind of skills and technique so snobbery should be avoided that only this is good and this is bad ,it has become a trend to criticize and it is making an institution in itself , take extreme B Grade movies there division is applicable

Just to add a point on the 'star system', this era is well and truly over - and I think it needs to be. The adulation and hysteria surrounding certain actors/actresses will die out because we've learnt to consume content in a more accessible way, so the allure that the star system has cannot sustain itself. I think that formulaic style of filmmaking will turn into a fantasy genre, but by large - hopefully - we will get to watch more interesting genres where the film is driven by the story and not the "hero". Hero bechara Zero ho gaya!
