I wish they didn't feel it necessary to give people an English accent in these documentaries. It makes it seem that real Germans weren't the ones resisting and placing their lives in jeopardy. These were amongst the most courageous of peoples and are largely unmentioned or worse forgotten by history. It's one thing to be a part of an army with nation's behind you. But to act alone and often with no support that is a truly noteworthy and commendable act and these people have my respect and admiration.

It's hard to think that just keeping a diary was taboo a German friend of mine grandfather was a desk clerk during the Reich she told me that he kept a diary of how he hated the war and she was admit that he never carried a gun.
