I wouldn’t call player lock dead, there’s always a game going. All you need is 500 people playing that mode for you to get games consistently. Think about the 10s of thousands playing 2K in general every day.

Team Up used to be the SHIT back in the day before it was Allstar team up. You used to play as TEAMS not Allstars back in the days between 2k11 and 2k16. And you mostly played with Random people and not dudes playing With their friends to Span and exploit shit. This was for the real Basketball heads that wanted to get some legit Sim style competitive Basketball. You couldn't choose which team you'd play as and the cpu would Random select which player you'd be. So you might be on Miami but you didn't know if yoi were gonna be LeBron, Dwade. Bosh or fuckin Mario Chalmers.
