NBA 2K21 is a basketball simulation video game that was developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports, based on the National Basketball Association (NBA). It is the 22nd installment in the NBA 2K franchise and the successor to NBA 2K20. The game was released on September 4, 2020 for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia, and will later be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S.

Some player models look good and others are like from 2-3 years ago like a regression in graphics even when I watched Chris Smoove next gen gameplay I'm somewhat disappointed with the PS5 or either there were frame drops

The menu / UI feel and look on 2K22 is a huge downgrade from 21 on PS5. Everything is more rigid. Even in play annotations and play calling graphics took a hit for some reason. I can’t be the only one who sees this…..

Just wait til 2K abandon last gen consoles I think they're gonna really push the consoles but that's only if they actually put the effort into it tho but still. Madden 22 doesnt look bad on PS5 in image quality mode, however it's still not utilizing the hardware.. EA played it safe af with the graphics in madden on next gen. They need to abandon that frostbite engine imo.

2k graphics isn't any better..its not really any big of a difference, u would think so because of next gen, the colors look so faded.. NBA live 19 and next gen graphics is similar lol

If you wanna see a good look at the players faces in the edit screen. Just go to the signature misc page. And go to the chew gum option and its a close up of their face

I want to know if the gameplay improved,are Ai still dumb,is gameplat still slow?, can you adjust game speed,will dominatng player lik lebron on my career actually play as such,or will he play like the guy on rge street that comes on the court in full on nba gear and more,and dont do shyt. Anybody that plays mycareer ,help me out and answer those few tings,would mean a million to me. In my country ain like we could trade or return bad purchase. Imo, everything looks flatter in 2k22. 2k21 looks more polished. Up close the players might look better, but in game is a different story. From the court, to the players & even the fans.

My unique problem with 2k has never been the graphic. But the animation. The gameplay isn’t smooth like nba live 19 was. It stills looks glitchy

NBA live had the best and most responsive dribble stick. When it first came out it felt so innovative. You knew exactly how the ball would go with how you used the stick. In 2k it seems random on what I press and what happens.

Besides improved AI, the gameplay is a downgrade for me. It’s not as smooth, the dibbling controls are trash in 22 and the new shooting meter is wack. Also the game looks more cartoony and they reverted back to the darkened arenas after they had great lighting last year smh

Have u ever watched a sports video of Madden or 2k where they play every title in a row? Y'all already know the graphics don't make a huge jump every year when it's on the same console but somehow you expected it now? And what hype? This game has had the least hype of any 2k because there was no gameplay or features until days before release

Has nothing to do with cross gen support. It's all about their engine and tools. The assets they use look great, but there just isn't much more they'll be able to get out of it without entirely rebuilding aspects (lighting, skin textures, cloth textures, etc) of it and or, changing engines. Ex: Look at the visual fidelity of the EA FIFA/Madden games using ignite vs the switch to Frostbite to now.

Cross gen has nothing to do with this. It's not like they just used the exact same game and increased the textures like most cross gen games. The graphic fidelity is on a different level from last gen 2k and im sure we can all agree. They can literally stop production for last gen and still will be the same. They're just lazy.

Announcement 2k23 or 2k24 will be it's last for current gen because or otherwise you will overload your graphics computer chip in your PS4 or Xbox One which will cause it to crash and if you keep running it you could fry your motherboard it's about time to say bye-bye to 2K on the current gen
