Best era in basketball without a doubt. Perfect combination of physicality, skill, and athleticism. You can’t blame the modern players, because they are more skilled and athletic in general, which is expected as the game evolves. The problem is the current nba rules. They have gone way too far not letting men be men. Bring back hand checking and let defense be a thing again. Incredible three point shooters, but it lacks the raw passion that happens when there is a little contact and toughness.
@10lilrip4 жыл бұрын
Love basketball, hate watching NBA. 90s spoiled me.
@pomerlain89242 жыл бұрын
And young people claim the guys during this era weren't skilled. SMH. Having grown up watching NBA basketball from the 90s to now, the skill has dropped, IMO. Everybody just wants to shoot threes and play ISO ball.
@splashh46332 жыл бұрын
@@pomerlain8924 LOL, bruh what? The game is at an all time high in skill level and will continue to grow😂😭😭
@pomerlain89242 жыл бұрын
@@splashh4633 Simply shooting threes is not skill. Guys can't move without the ball. They don't box out for weak side rebounds. And they don't have any post moves. All the game mostly consists of today is ISO ball and drive and kick for three. I've seen players literally be wide open for a lay-up in the paint, and they're solely focused on passing it out for a three, which is lower percentage. It's why this year's playoffs have been so boring, as most every game is a blowout because a team just hits threes.
@splashh46332 жыл бұрын
@@pomerlain8924 you do understand scoring from farther away from the basket is a much better skill than taking a layup, boxing out isn’t a skill btw bro 😂 please learn evolution. There’s 70 dudes in the league rn who would smoke 99% of the competition in the 70,80,90 maybe even the early 2000s comp. You don’t understand how good modern training and medicine is
