You should do the actual all-star teams for each year, east vs. west in a 64 team tournament. If you've got a few teams that are pretty much identical, combine them. Seeding them might be tough, but you'd eventually get the best west all-star team vs. the best east all-star team.

Too bad you can't do this exact same simulation utilizing the NBA rules and officiating from earlier eras. That would truly give more insight into the debate as to whether modern players would thrive in those eras.

As usual and NBA Sim under values Bird. The man was the most clutch payer ever and yet in sims he cant hit barn door. The East was by far the weaker conference in the 90s , just as the West was in the 80s . This really should be taken into consideration a lot more than it is when having a GOAT debate

tbh i do think 2020-2023 is a bit of a lull in talent like the early 70s or 90s was, like yeah Jordan won 3 straight but like magic and bird's celtics were cooked, the pistons were cooked, etc

Real fun, I think it’s karma. The 50s and 60s have gotten so much heat and people don’t even recall how important the 70s was to the league. Without the ABA, we would not be here watching today.
