Gary lends a ton of cred to Larry as far as the next generation because Payton is respected as one of the greatest defensive players of all time. He is that bridge between the old and new that is letting these young guys know that Larry was the real deal

Remember, that game against Indiana. He broke his face. Saw double vision most of the game. Larry Bird is basketball. Complete and total dedication to it. The games seen some goats. But only one Legend. Sums Larry Bird up nicely. And I will put his skill set. Against ANY player. Past, present or future.

63 year old old man here young man. And yes we love to watch the Birdman in action yes we old timers called him the Birdman. Just one point everyone, what other NBA player in the history of the NBA has made this big of an impact on so many Hall of Fame players that remember him. Think about that the memories of the Birdman are impressed into the fabric of these players careers. Love Birdman videos thank you

I love the videos, but I graduated high school in 1980. I saw it all specially when they started with the TV contract best ERA of basketball 80s-2000.. now unfortunately, it’s just the game of HORSE…. And whether the shooter makes it or not…. Where is the defense?

just so everyone understands how different the game is today... Larry Bird returned from a broken cheekbone and scored 27 points in a playoff game. ... Last week the NBA announced they reworked teams schedules so that they travel less, dont have as many long trips, and allow time for "load management " SMH 🤯 you hear that JJ REDICK? Love these videos, this should say it all, when the basketball greats telling these folks just how unstoppable Larry really was in his day. One of my Favs is Eddie Johnson’s, he wasn’t in this one but the way Eddie tells it is hilarious. Eddie was on the Suns when Larry drains 3 and says I told ya so. Eddie was also on Hawks Bench getting fined for reacting to Larry’s unconscious 60.

The only reason I can think of when people question if hes still top ten is they havent seen him play. But, like it or not, there may be some darker reason. Or, maybe their cognitive function is running on fumes.

Speaking of Dee Brown, those Cs teams of the early 90s were pretty bad but I did love Dino Radja...He was my fav after Larry left. The Cs got robbed losing Len Bias and Reggie Lewis. I think that they would have got another ring if those guys didn't pass away

A little back story between bird and Kent Benson. Benson was at Indiana when bird went there before he went to Indiana state and he was a dick to bird. When McHale broke the Celtics scoring record Benson was guarding him most of the time and bird made sure he kept getting the ball on Benson to embarrass him

My all NBA team is made up of players of players from the 60s, 70s and 80s. I am old, 66, and saw all of these play. G - Jerry West G - Oscar Robertson F - Larry Bird F - Bill Russell C - Wilt Chamberlain With each in their Prime. I will put them against any team put together from 1990 to present. 2 of the all-time rebounders, Wilt and Bill 2 of the all-scorers, Wilt and Jerry And Mr. Triple-Double in the Big O And the best all-round player ever in Larry.
