I know this is an unpopular opinion but I love this theme. It’s usually played at 1.25 speed and man that change was amazing. It’s very quickly became one of my favorites in all of sports. I love the old theme as much as everyone else, but I think they did a fantastic job here

Wow never noticed that. 1.25 speed is WAY better. I still prefer the previous theme but WOW speeding it up makes this a whole lot better!

I remember first time I heard this song I was in Brazil watching a game so I thought it was a Brazil exclusive espn song, then came back home and realized it was the new official nba espn theme song😂 kinda sad they got rid of the old one tbh, but I like this one too, it’s grown on me a lot

This may not be as anthemic or iconic as the previous theme song, but this has a more subtle and triumphant swagger that I really enjoy as well.

As a music nerd it has definitely grown on me. I loved the old NBA finals theme from like 2011-2022 with the Warriors, and Lebron with the Heat and in Cleveland. I guess it’s a new era with great players but I’m definitely here for it.

Im fine with it, just doesnt get me excited though if that makes sense. I dont think its nostalgia, i think its just the music. This sounds more playful, mellow, fits perfectly for regular season, the old ones made it feel more intense, like the two strongest forces battling to the end

ESPN basically took a page out of Bally Sports but missed the mark on this one. The song itself isn't bad, but it's better suited for promos and pre-game/post-game or perhaps College Basketball on the network. The Bally Sports theme at least keeps the dramatic orchestral elements and electric guitar while sounding modern at the same time As far as their new graphics package, I like how the scorebug doesn't fill up a lot of the screen. However, it seems ESPN is late to the 'flat-design' party as we're starting to see it fall out of fashion (especially the last 2 years)

I think this would be a good lineup cue instead of a main theme. I prefer the previous theme package and I am very surprised it was replaced. Lisle Moore is a tremendous talent. It's too bad they can't release the music even after it has been retired and it will simply be lost in time by ESPN.

The rebrand is good ngl. The ESPN scoreboard the last two seasons was a complicated mess that was way too big and had too much information, and now it’s much more simple. The song is like a 6/10 but it’ll grow onto me.

I don’t know if they will continue the playoffs theme cause I did some research on the matter and found this New tracks will premiere throughout the season including during ESPN’s Christmas Day slate, the Playoffs, Finals, play-in tournament, and Saturday primetime matchups. While the press release remains cagey, it promises “exclusive remixes and bespoke songs from some of Atlantic’s biggest stars.” Artists on the Atlantic Records roster include A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Bruno Mars, Burna Boy, Cardi B, Don Toliver, Cordae, Gucci Mane, Jack Harlow, Lil Uzi Vert, Lizzo, Meek Mill, Missy Elliott, Rico Nasty, Roddy Ricch, and Young Thug. I hope they keep them . It’s bad enough that we have to listen to this fuckery of a theme for an entire season . At-least keep the playoff ones.

to me it seems like they tried to go back to the theme they first had when they got the NBA... and failed. If this was a remix of that theme or the more familiar theme in this style it'd have probably been better but this is what we have and probably will have no matter what for several years, regardless of reception
