A lot to be said about this clip, final year of "The NBA on NBC" including the final touch of the conclusion which makes me sad that Disney bought the NBA TV rights the very next season, marvelous Marv Albert and Mike Breen both calling games for Turner and NBC and Albert (who still working for Turner til his retirement by the 2021 East Finals) and Dick Stockton both retiring from broadcasting in 2021 and Breen is calling the Finals/playoffs on ABC/ESPN, Kevin Harlan still with Turner and CBS. Mavs plays at their new Arena (American Airlines Center) and the Spurs plays their final season at the Alamodome, the teams whom made the playoffs that season became future champs (Spurs 03/05/07/14, Pistons 04, Celtics 08, Lakers 09/10/20, Mavericks 11, Raptors 19,) Sixers, Jazz and Nets TBD? And some notable players play well into the 2010s and won (or not) some titles as well.

Back when a regular first round series match-up was a lot more interesting than any playoffs round including the finals of today. That was an era where there were an overabundance of HOF, defensive stoppers and teams and big time game finishers all three of these that mark this era are sorely missing today.
