Dunking in basketball is one of the most interesting things in sports, because even though an aggressive dunk and a conservative dunk both score 2 points, the morale and pride it gives your team is astonishing.

I'm not doubting what you say, but I would like to know how that works. It seems to me that any resistance you encounter while airborne would reduce your vertical lift, not boost it.
