My understanding is that the Warriors paid Klay $43M for each of the two seasons he missed, and then offered him $48M for two years (as opposed to the Mavs’ apparent three-year $50M offer). Does that sound like DISRESPECT to you???

Actually great fit, probably best fit mavs could have gotten, Klay is an all time great shooter that doesn’t need the ball in his hands to get into rhythm, he will have a lot of open corner threes and pull up of fast breaks

How? You have no idea what type of offense JJ will run. The Mavs just made it to the finals and moved Hardaway who had plenty of plays ran for him... nice void to fill... Jason Kidd's offense definitely leave room for shooters especially with all the penetration youre gonna get with Luka and Kyrie... no state tax. Lebron and AD have thrown the coach and other players under many buses. Kyrie and Luka have held themselves accountable many many times. Great owner. Great city...This is a great fit

You are tripping if you think a 40 year old Lebron and AD is a better fit for Klay, seems like Klay knew it wasn’t a good fit either so he went to Mavs. Mavs are the better team and better fit, if they had a Klay during the finals it could have went 6 to 7 games (still think Celtics would win) Big shot maker that’s not afraid of the moment is exactly what Mavs need, he can’t get separation anymore but Luka is a great passer, he will be like a slightly better Ray Allen for the heat cause he still has more left in him then heat Ray Allen.

Lakers weren't able to sign any of the 3 players mention which wasn't surprising since the other teams were offering more money. Klay comes to the Lakers at a few million less per season and with the high tax in LA he would be losing even more money, this is Klay last big contract in terms of money. Lebron knew it was a long shot to get either Klay or Harden. Lebron can still take less than the Max and might get a player at the trade deadline during the season or next season. If he doesn't, they might be stuck with the same roster. Like whom are they going trade D-low for, he would be and expiring contract. Even if Lakers would have gotten Klay how much does that move the needle?

Lakers need to hit the reset button now if they want to win long term. They’re not winning now so just flip James and Davis while they’re healthy and have value because you know Davis will get hurt. Start looking at the 2026 draft and hopefully if you stock pile enough picks you’ll hit on a star
