god dammit. so mad my lakers lost in 2011. but I'm glad they lost to the eventual champs. dirk went bananas against the lakers, thunder, and of course heat. huge lakers fan, so by nature I'm still butt hurt over what happened. that being said, I'm a huge basketball fan as well and couldn't have been any happier for dirk to finally win one.

I been a Mavericks fan since 2000 and I felt GREAT 2 see my boys win tha title... caught hell in '06 after we lost tha title... caught MORE hell tha next year after Golden State took us out as an 8 seed... then we kept bein called soft after tha next few 1st round exits... then we get into these playoffs and sweep tha Lakers THEN won tha title... felt good 2 get props from people 4 bein a true fan thru and thru... we need 2 get back here.

That made me think of the numerous clutch moments. DAMNN! Last season's Finals crazyyy! And each player definitely deserved that ring. GO MAVS!

I've been a huge mavs fan since 2004 (3rd grade) and could never get over the 06 finals loss to the heat. I always thought the series was BS and unfair calls plagued the mavs. Then finally after being able to see them win the championship threw me into tears of joy! Looking back at this is a great feeling knowing that Dirk has his chamionship! Go Mavs and I still believe they can make a run this year Go Mavs!

I'm here after viewing the Dirk retirement ceremony. 41-21-1 on a different note I remember Mark Cuban wanted to be different and give the team Championship Bracelets(even a pendent/chain was brought up) instead of Championship rings. The players voiced their disapproval, especially Dirk. "I don't want a freaking bracelet, I want a RING!!"

When you see the line-up and they can win a championship that speaks to how the organization and coaching staff are on another level.

No other team deserved it more than the Mavs. The perfect story book ending. Kidd, Dirk, Peja, Marion, Terry, and a handful of other vets got what they worked over a decade to get.

I'm a lakers fan but I was fine when they lost to Dallas because those guys deserved one last shot and the tittle more than any other team.
