The problem is the Hawks don’t know who’s going to hit. Sarr or Richaser. Could be one of those drafts where the potential star player isn’t the top 2 prospects everyone is talking about.

The draft is what you make it. If you can’t pick players that’s just a trash front office. There will be hidden gems in this draft that will be superstars franchise players so do your job and figure out who it could be. Keep Trae young and develop a 3 year plan around a young promising team.

By your logic the nba draft is just a close your eyes and wish for the best draft and that isn’t true. Their front office passed on Luka who was a prodigy. Your front office can hurt or help during offseason and they are often horrible in ATL.

Waaay different. I am from Europe Luka has been the greatest euro prospect ever even more so than Wemby. He has been better and more proven at the age of 19 than Risacher sarr etc combined.

phenom? if there was a phenom in this draft, the team that has that # overall pick would not be debating or confused on who to take. this draft will be good draft for teams looking for get good role players not stars. championship caliber teams that just needs 1 or 2 good pieces will love this draft class

I think the hawks would be better off keeping Murray and trading Trae . Murray is a great scorer like Trae, but WAY more efficient. He can create for others , not as well as Trae but still solid. And hes an elite defender, where Trae made improvements last season but will never be anywhere close to Murray. A front court featuring Murray, Jalen, and Sarr, and Okongwu would be very intriguing to see develope. Maybe get someone like Tyler Herro in a trade for Trae and you have something special going on.

Weak draft class...I dont think Sarr is anywhere close to wemby as far as talent and with the hawks hes gonna end up being a bit of a project. I can see him being a good rotational piece years later.
