Please, for your soul's sake repent, read and consider Romans 10:9 and Romans 10:10...The door to salvation is open now, but, it will close. Don't fret about being perfect, once we accept Jesus Christ and confess our sins, our past is forgiven, and the Holy Spirit will guide us into desiring to do the will of GOD/YAH. Salvation is a gift. We, including I could have never been righteous or "good" enough and so GOD loved and loves us enough to have made a way for us to be redeemed. Think about it ... 🍃😊🍃

Damage isn't too bad. Mostly tree damage and power lines down from the trees. At least one tree fell on a house and the storm surge did some flooding of streets near the coast. Overall dodged the bullet honestly.

You really have to appreciate the doctors and nurses who are saving people’s lives while not knowing if their own families are safe. I’m beginning to think it’s time to move the city further inland. I don’t know how people can afford to rebuild constantly. America needs to look at Holland’s flood control.

The Netherlands doesn't have hurricanes. NO has levees and an improved pumping system. People were told to evacuate, so I pray NO public servants lose their lives trying to rescue people who didn't heed the warning. Not to mention the selfish idiots who didn't get vaccinated and have now filled the hospitals to capacity. There is no where to bring people who are injured from the storm.

I lived in a small town in West Virginia FEMA came in and bought out the houses in flood zones as to not have to rebuild How ever New Orleans has so much history they cant move inland

I was watching the Hurricane come thru Port Fourchon on our cameras we used to detect leaks and intrusion and it was crazy scene. our facility in Fourchon is destroyed

They did get some iver wash from the Gulf storm surge but they are freshly rebuilt and holding very well.

The one main high voltage tower was pulled down. It will be about a week I suppose. It will take that long to get the tree damage cleaned up and the power lines that got knocked down back up anyway. Generators for a few days. We've done that before. An inconvenience at best.

@@TractorWrangler01 That tower would have been a one-off. The insulators alone are custom glass, around 10' long: Six weeks is the likely lead on the other 7 supply lines: this one'll be months.

If I ever become king of the world my first decree will be to bury all power lines. they are an ugly blight on the landscape and dangerous. When I lived overseas I was lucky enough to live in two neighborhoods with below ground power lines. Looks so nice.

HELLO? Underground power lines have been shown to perform about 50% better in day-to-day operations and 80% better during a major storm.

People act so surprised, but the structures in place, including power, are not built to withstand a storm like this. Build it to withstand a hurricane like this once, instead of rebuilding crap after every storm.

Let me tell you, the heat will be horrific for people without power. I use to live in SW Florida. Some may die from the heat in the following days. I'll never live in the South again. Especially on the coast.

I'm in Louisiana, just on the west of Baton Rouge. This is devastating. The heat in the coming days will make conditions worse. Mosquitoes become unbearable. No safe drinking water. Recovery is long and drawn out.

Watching from Calif I walk outside and smell the smoke from the fire.I have Family In New Orleans Jackson Baton Rouge, and Woodville, unable to contact them too much devastation on top of a pandemic 🙏🏽🙏🏽 everyone Is safe.

@@boatymsboatface3929 Actually hes kinda right. Its not all that bad this round. Just on the coast line basically. Inland it's just trees and powerlines. On the coast they had some barged break free from their moorings. Some boat swamping. Rather not see it but its truely not that bad when compared to Katrina.

Not like they have some special powers that allow them to travel over dangerous roads to get to the landfall spot.

But that comment about ‘bed wetting’ reporters just struck me as a crappy thing to say about people that provide information that I can access to know what’s going on in the world- from my humble yet very safe kitchen.💕

No. Hurricane wise this storm was way worse than Katrina. The levees failing is what swamped the city. There wasn't that much wind and rain from Katrina.

This was a good hurricane. Ida was 16 years after Katrina where 1833 people lost this life, and so far less than 10 by Ida.
