Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey! It's time for Saturday morning cartoons on NBC from the year 1991, so adjust those rabbit ears, and don't forget the cereal.
This is a compilation video I put together using footage of commercials and episodes from shows that played on Saturday mornings (from 8 in the morning to noon) on NBC in the 90's. It closely follows both a spring and fall 1991 schedule for NBC Saturday mornings. Certain shows (like Yo Yogi! or Saved by the Bell) can't be used for copyright reasons. These shows were substituted with other great cartoons and shows that played on NBC around the same time. Think of it as a retro remix or a bootleg Saturday morning broadcast.
This is the seventh Saturday morning cartoon compilation video I've uploaded. Although the video quality for some of the bumpers and commercials is sketchy, I think this video turned out alright. I used the bumpers for Captain N and The New Super Mario World (which was a single 30 minute show that was half Captain N and half Super Mario World), but split them into their own two shows, and went with the Super Mario Bros. 3 cartoon over Super Mario World because I just like the SMB3 cartoon better. I'll visit the real Captain N and the New Super Mario World in a future video. At any rate, I hope you enjoy this video.
For some reason, this one came out about twelve hours earlier. Not sure why, but I possibly scheduled it wrong. Hopefully, it won't happen again. So for some of you, this came out on Saturday, but for most of you, Friday.
Disclaimer: I do not make any money or accept any donations for these videos. I make them in my free time as a hobby, out of a love for old television, and because they're the kinds of videos I would like to be able to watch on KZfaq. If you see KZfaq ads (not commercials) on this video, that's because this video was copyright claimed by a variety of different companies, who chose to run ads on my video for their own profit. I also do not make these videos for children, but for adults like myself who are nostalgic for their childhoods. If the comments are disabled on this video or another like it, it's because KZfaq set it as "for children." And that's the end of that disclaimer.
Here is a playlist of Saturday morning cartoons (and other similar broadcasts) videos I've made: • Saturday Morning Carto...

i'm telling you this from the bottom of my heart. i don't know what possessed to record a whole saturday morning cartoon lineup. i don't know you knew it was gonna be a relic years later. i don't know. but what i do know is that you are a godsend. this stuff would have been lost in the annals of time. this is the reason why KZfaq should always exist. because of content like this. i felt like a kid watching these vids. for three hours, i felt like i could forget what was going on in our world and remnisce. you did everybody a solid. god bless you and your family. i hope you realized how grateful people are from you doing this. thank you...please tell me you have more. if not, it's alright. something is better than nothing

@sonic-templeosno, it was much different. I mean I wasn’t a kid in the 2000’s seeing as I was born in 84’. But I know I’m 89-90 I can still remember everyone riding in the back of a flatbed truck without a camper and it was normal. Smoking was still permitted in cars with kids (as long as the window was down of course) making seatbelts a law was a fairly new thing still. Yea, it was way different than the 2000’s

I really wish a TV station existed that did this. As an 80s/early 90s kid I fondly remember these cartoons. Extremely good memories with cereal, watching them with my dad or my grandmother while my mom worked. I know Pluto TV has a saturday morning channel, but the cartoons on there are more like late 90s and don't have that innocent early genre aesthetic that feels so memorable.

Not to mention in Mexico, that there are two local Mexican Spanish networks that broadcast cartoons both classic and new during the daytime all the way until 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM respectively on weekdays and on weekends until 1:00 PM, Canal 5 from TelevisaUnivision, and Azteca 7 from TV Azteca, both are OTA, Azteca 7 has the classic WB Animation shows like Tiny Toon Adventures, Animanicas (1993), and Pinky and the Brain, Canal 5 solely broadcast Nickelodeon content, with the usual WB Animation DTV movie, or non-Nickelodeon shows like PJ Masks, and Miraculous Ladybug.

Especially a movie that dealt with topics like depression, allergies, grandparents with mental conditions, etc. It's a good movie, but it has some heavy topics in some areas.

@@Neville60001 True, but most people didn't use them, and on some of the original carts of certain games they weren't there, or were later removed in subsequent cart editions. Hence, codes were of limited import at the time.

Fun fact from TV Tropes: During the final three years of NBC's orignal Saturday morning block, all of its programming outside of Saved by the Bell suffered constant Executive Meddling. First, NBC canceled The Smurfs, at one time considered NBC's staple animated program, and gave it the “lost in time” treatment for a year while struggling to headline newer shows, like Captain N: The Game Master and the Animated Adaptation of The Karate Kid, the latter of which was promptly axed due to low ratings. Both shows had to rely on word-of-mouth as NBC chose to spend their resources headlining another new show, the non-cartoon Saved by the Bell. Then, a year later, ALF, ALF Tales and Kissyfur was axed and its time slot replaced by NBA Inside Stuff, a recap show for NBA basketball that had nothing appealing to children. At the same time, NBC exhausted more advertising revenue toward Saved by the Bell, causing drastic budget cuts for cartoons airing on the block, which caused potential kid viewers to either move to other blocks such as the newer player, Fox Kids, or watch Nickelodeon instead. Then, in the block's final year, Captain N was shortened from an hour to a half-hour, and both Alvin and the Chipmunks and the obscure Gravedale High were canceled in favor of new shows like ProStars and Yo Yogi!, the latter of which was critically panned and proved to be the final straw. As a result of the persistent ratings failures and continued pressure within the children's television market, NBC ordered all Saturday morning programs canceled, save for only Saved by the Bell since it was the most successful show of the block, and continued airing reruns of the shows until August 1st, 1992, when a teen-oriented live-action block named TNBC and a Saturday morning edition of Today took its place. Saved by the Bell and NBA Inside Stuff were the only programs to survive the transition. NBC's decision to drop their Saturday Morning Cartoon block is widely viewed as the beginning of the end for the genre.
