Yeah Third cousin marriages are not too bad from a genetic perspective. Prior to the invention of automobiles and greater social mobility, third cousin marriages were very common particularly in rural areas.

OK, I did the math and I believe Liz and her "cousin" are actually third cousins. Dolly is Liz's Great Aunt and his Grandmother's cousin (more specifically his 1st cousin twice removed). Their closet common ancestor is their mutual great great grandparent which makes them third cousins. I had to draw a map and it's confusing. Let me know if I made a mistake

@@noahdiaz6654 I don't have it. I just printed out a chart that showed "you" and your ancestors . I mapped out Liz and the guy separately and their relationship to Dorothy then worked up to their earliest common ancestor. I believe that gives the correct answer but I always sucked at following family trees.
