When he was looking for a color,animal and a name he already considered the options white,cat and oscar,after that he determined in which hand is the coin (using the same trick as the first) and placed the corresponding answers to the correct hands thus creating the trick which seemingly looked like miracle. But I was really amazed on how he determined those occupations and how he determind the miller childhood friend.

I can assure you that Colin's routine is 100% legit. I don't think I can convince you online but I went to see his show at a Fringe festival last year. Around 30 or so people in the audience and he used at least half the people in the crowd so resorting to stooges is questionable. If you want to see a few other performances search up "colin cloud this morning" where he works with a few morning chat show presenters

That probably wouldn't happen. He was totally guiding them. He knew which hand had the coin before even guessing, so he assigned the correct hand with the word he wanted from the beginning. And the audience really said a bunch of names/colors/animals so that he could "choose" the one he wanted, even if no one actually said any of them. I mean who would even notice?

The only trick here is how does he predict which hand has the coin. The whole audience shouting out colors names and animals is very vague because you really can't pick out one name color or animal unless you're listening to one specific person and odds are that he just pretending like he was listening to someone and put two of his already thought of names colors and animals to represent each hand. Also if he knows which hand has the coin he can just "label" each hand correctly (which he did). For example if the coin is in Simon's right hand, he'll label that hand Oscar and the other hand Charlie. The white cat was already there before the trick happened so the real trick is just a 50 50 chance between 4 judges. However, I don't think 1/16 odds are really going to get you many places as a magic act but his delivery was good and I enjoyed it so we'll see what he does next round.

This is all I could think of while watching this. It was so easy to just have the entire audience shout out the things and then choose what he needed for the cat. I wasn't impressed by this act and I LOVE the magic acts every year. This one just felt super super set up from the very start.

Okay I'm sorry, but it's simply impossible to have guessed that some random girl was thinking of a childhood memory with someone that had the last name Miller. Usually the way that works is you'll have an accomplice who goes around trying to extract details and then relays it to the performer. The performer then "randomly" chooses people from the crowd and tells the details that was give to them.

David Llamas You can't guess all of this with basic facial expressions. However, there are so other many visual cues he could have picked up on. The girl later revealed that she is engaged and will become Mrs. Miller, so he could have picked up on conversations she had had before the show with others, he could have noticed a promise/engagement ring, and she seemed also to have a necklace with a string of letters on it. The man next to her was probably her fiancee, and if he picked up on their engagement and listened to his conversations as well, he would have that informtaion.

I hate to ruin the magic, but I'm pretty sure he just acted like people called out the names, colors, and animals that he picked. With everyone yelling, the judges would have to think at least someone said it. Or maybe people did say it or were told to. And with the coin thing, before telling them where the coin was, he knew. He was the one who said "this hand is white and this hand is blue" so he knew which one to pick. Anyways, that's just my observations

Its quite simple, the fact he can figure out what hand holds the coin has nothing to do with the name he gave each hand. he acted like he took the names from the croud while he was looking for the names he needed, the names that were already used with the white cat named oscar. he used most likely other "telling" habbits like the one he used on the first judge where hes nose was pointing tords that hand. he has one good trick, he made it look like he had more.

He proclaims that he is the real life Sherlock Holmes and if you know anything about Sherlock Homes, his skills doesn't simply rely on reading minds but manipulating them in order to achieve the results he needs. What you say is most likely correct however, it's still incredible what he did especially with knowing the location of the coins...

Pretty easy to explain trick. He has a magnetic device under skin-color tape in his right palm that tells him wear the coin is located. You'll notice throughout the entire trick, his right hand hovers over all of the judges' hands and is closed at all other times, while all instructions and counting are done with the left. He forces "white" "cat" and "oscar" to be the choices of the hands where he knows the coin is; and assigns audience choices (doesn't matter what they are) to the non-coin hand.

Here's my take on the trick: He picks the description from the crowd that matches the cat and labels the hand with the coin in it with the word he wants. You already have a 50/50 percent chance of guessing the hand with the right coin correctly, but if you watch for body movements (Which way is his nose pointing? Does he lick his lips towards one direction? Is their face slightly tilted one way? Which hand is held higher? Do they glance one way or another? Is one hand gripping harder than the other?) you can use those tells to determine which hand is holding the coin. He didn't predict what they were gonna choose but rather put them in a situation that produced the outcome he wanted.

it was such a simple act. He let the crowd choose so that he could mix up one of his option by coating as if it came from crowd. like he chose oscar and let the crowd person say charlie .and the coin part he could trace the coin by watching the body

"If it's in this hand "tap tap" then say WRONG ANSWER if it's in this hand "TAP TAP(feels magnetic pull)" say RIGHT ANSWER. He used magnets to tell which hand the "Coin" was in. He then proceeded to give them the correct and wrong answer as he wanted them.

That may be true, but the rest of it is impressive. As stated above, being "sherlock holmes" is less about reading minds and more about knowing how to manipulate situations based on little facial cues given to you. The cat thing, though, was pretty much set up.

I'm pretty sure this is how he did the trick: for the name, he might've not even heard anybody say Oscar but acted like he did and when he was going to pick the hand, he already knew where the coin was with his instincts and named the one he knew was right Oscar. Same with white and cat.

If you freeze frame at 3:13 you can see he is holding something in his right hand, since he never opens it up and always point with that hand, I'm guessing it vibrates whenever the coin is near that object

the whole color/animal/name thing it's pretty simple. It's in the key-words he uses. It triggers associations, and it's actually pretty amazing. And yes of course he could have picked any name and what not, but that isn't the act. It's the act is that he can read your body language and expression to find out what hand the coin is in. The rest is just to add to the "woah" factor. People who can understand and manipulate body language are goddamn amazing tbh.

There are lots of contestants on AGT that are full time professionals in what they do. The Uk version they've even tried to persuade people that have had their own tv shows to go on.

Ok so spoilers right now he knew which hand the coin was in before picking names and stuff. He himself hose the named and tricked the audience into thinking it was their choice. Once he had a name he named the hand with the coin what he needed it to be (White, Cat, Oscar). Then just revealed the hand and the trick. He is really smooth and actually had to read what hand the coin was in but the magic part of the act was kind of sloppy.

Audience members are plants. He's got something in his right hand that can detect where the coin is. Maybe a strong magnet or a chip reader or something. Makes sure to put his right hand directly next to both of their hands every time. Right hand is always clenched as well. Pre-planned which names/words he was going to take/pretend to take from audience. Had two cats in the basket (one white and one blue or something) and four different collars to slide onto them with every possible combination on them.

so he picked colors and animals that he knew would lead to his reveal. white and cat are very common answers to this question. as for the name, I'm going to assume he had two possible names, one on either side of the cats tag. and he listened for the name of the cat and chose it. and the judges choice for each was manufactured as well. he already knew which hand the coin was in, so he applied the correct option to the hand on his own. it's subtle but still awesome. his performance was what made it amazing.
