It’s a bit too quiet in Boulder Creek. Had eight plus inches of rain in about twelve hours. Heavier rains and winds usually seem to come at night, which can be really scary since I can’t see the enormous “widow-maker” trees leaning over my house. They’re not growing on my property so l can’t have work done on them. I think I’m far enough from the closest burn scars to avoid landslides, unless more of the mountain comes down and it continues for half a mile. But we just can’t leave every time there’s a fire, flood, or debris flow warning. It’s been forty years since nine homes and several families were lost in a landslide a half mile the other direction- “Love Creek”. Most people have to stay as there may be so many warnings his year.

LOTS of rain and hail the size of marbles. 60mph gusts , and lightning so bright , that only a split second later , was like a stick of dynamite going off! We sure do get some weird weather this time of year. NW Oregon btw.

Twice I’ve had close calls with mud slides. If you’re told to evacuate please do!! In one close call I had just left to visit my mother, if I had not I would have died as the slide buried my bedroom and knocked the house completely onto its side and destroyed almost everything.

That generator is illegal there buddy. Don't you know your state laws ? You will sit in darkness until your power comes back on or else

Several times in this video, "debris flow" was mentioned as being a primary concern, and all the massive debris was very visible in the area. Debris like that is what contributes to "adding fuel to the fire" during the California fires. None of the debris appeared to have been resultant from fire, as there was no evidence of charring, etc. This problem is due to gross negligence by Governor Newsom, who should have had crews in those mountains clearing out the underbrush debris that the area appears to be overwhelmed with.You can see huge fallen trees that appear to have been laying there for a long time. California residents had a prime opportunity to get rid of such a useless governor recently and get one who would take care of them, but they blew it. This video gives clear visible proof of Newsom's negligence and if I lived there, I'd be all up in his office about this major problem. Newsom's aunt is Nancy Pelosi, who is also in California - and they clearly could care less about the residents. It is disgraceful that neither one of them is doing anything about this.

This is because the moving debris impacts the landscape around it more rapidly than water. It really isn't fair that you stay because you are not just endangering yourselves, but also the lives of emergency personnel that will eventually be forced to risk their lives to rescue your mindless lives. Evacuate and save the world the cost of your sense of entitlement.
