Not one publicly funded stadium has ever shown a net gain for the taxpayers. No matter how you manipulate the numbers the taxpayers are going to lose. Sports team owners know how to play this game and their lawyers will always outmaneuver the politicians who will sell out their constituents or are just too stupid to know they are being fleeced.

I'm an old White Sox and Bears fan. The Sox have won one AL pennant (2005) in the last 43 years (since 1981), one in the last 64 years (since 1960) and two AL flags (1959, 2005) in the last 104 seasons (since 1920). The Bears have had 35 non-winning seasons in the last 55 years (since 1969) and only two Super Bowl appearances in the last 58 years (since 1966).

the lifespan of a stadium is NOT 30, its simply reflects the inefficient replacement trend that's been going on.

Chicago is bankruptcy because city sold to 👿 between two teams both chances put some revenue back 30 years ago built up new stadium. White Sox had new stadium from 1992 I'm thinking that year. But fans, taxpayers holding bag paying for stadiums very sad 😢😢😢😢. It should never come down to this but happen again. It funny from Illinois Governor, Chicago Mayor and city council can't get crimes down, robberies, carjacking protect citizens, tourists and businesses very sad.
