Thank her for bringing them to a game you love? because you've supported the W for years, told all your friends and they didn't believe you that it was fun? OR Thank you, for bringing your attention to the league as a first time watcher. You can see her learn, thrive and be her best, among the best. Also, there's a process to Olympic selection, it's not about popularity and it's the Olympics, people are going to watch anyway. Last, the difference in other sports, Women's Basketball has an established presence on the International Stage. You do know a majority of players play overseas during the off season. She'll have her chance, unless she fizzles out or isn't the best player to be selected. If her fans, bailed out on her in 4 years, then they aren't real fans.

@@jmar5127 You're the one who is ignorant, i'm in Paris, and she's often in the news, I watch her since I stumble with her video last 2022 of high school boys mocking her and she dropped 42 pts. Whenever I watch her games on live stream, many people from different countries watch her as well. From London, NZ, Australia, Japan, Brazil, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Ireland, Nigeria etc. So yeah, she's popular not only in America, you can deny it, but even my friend told me when she was at the bar in Dubai, the people are watching Fever game. You Americans love to hate your fellowmen instead of be happy your country is in the news in a positive light rather than your confused president who can't even talk properly, many people robbing the malls and groceries.

I never watched women’s basket ball that much…. I was a Kentucky basketball fan, however while in College. I did see girls play in high school when I was teaching high school, but I wasn’t an avid fan. Reels started passing through the internet of Caitlin Clark shooting those amazing long shots. I honestly thought it was some AI thing, because it seemed super human. I am in awe of her. I now have tickets for Sept to go to Dallas (I live in Houston) so I can see Caitlin Clark play. I did not even know that there was a pro team in Dallas, but look for where I could see Caitlin in person. I was amazed there would be a game in Dallas. Maybe I will become a fan of others. This lady seems very nice, and I have enjoyed hearing her interview.

I believe that they benefited from each other. They both were good and CC being a great long distance shooter. Reese going at CC and giving her back the "I can't see you" wave after winning the championship, made "certain" Americans upset. Social media used it to create a fake beef which caused "certain" people to watch for NON basketball reasons and hate! That has spilled the WNBA and the FANS has put the rookie OVER the really great WNBA players already in league who has carried the league in their play! CC has brought ALOT of hype to the W but I'm hoping it is to show the much greater products they already had NOT just show CC.

dear Parker,the question addressed to you should be....what is the message you pass to the next generation of athletes when you select a 42 year old???or when you select an injured player, wait until you be 35 because most of the players in the US team are 25 average so there will be no room for rookies for the 2028,so they must wait to 2032 Olympics if the older players decide to stand down...its not about Clark or Reese its about any player in the WNBA

Scared Money doesn’t make money - reminds me of Lilly Singh’s dialogue about networks and her show - hope the networks can learn from her lessons.
@lloydspence7114
@lloydspence7114 Ай бұрын
Parker is misguided in that statement. Scared money doesn't make money, is when you are gambling with your rent money. Money you cannot afford to lose. Over the past 27 years, numerous entities have invested into the WNBA, the biggest being the NBA. 70 million in outside investment was raised for marketing purposes which has not accomplished the intended result. The WNBA is fundamentally flawed. Poor leadership coupled with a product that aimlessly tries to be everything to everyone, and it's no wonder why they haven't experienced success. Yet.

basketball fans (who didn't previously watch wbb) want to see caitlin clark do her step back, throw full court dimes, and shoot from the logo like she's 10 feet away. Reese can keep her social media following, but the thing that matters is who is actually watching the basketball games, and that's because of Caitlin Clark.

If I was a CEO of a company and a new young employee comes into the company yes I want to be successful. But I have to realize that my success also helps the new young employee be successful and also visa versa. The experience can also be successful on the backs of the young with both being on the same page toward success. Not trying to always dismiss the younger people by being so arrogant to think that the younger can offer no value. That can be devastating to all.

I didn't get that from what she said. She spoke competitively. The vets aren't going to play favoritism to the rookies. They never did in any sport! They still believe THEY are the best and will provide "welcome to the league" moments to see how tough the rookies are! The FANS is what's causing all the problems NOT CC..

Caitlin Clark is the one that got a 28 million dollar endorsement deal no one else in the WNBA and she just got there why wasn't anyone else get a big deal like a AJa Wilson, I disagree if you are saying Caitlin is raising the bar for women pay, and it shouldn't have taken a Caitlin Clark for them to get paid what they should have been paid years ago let's keep it real

Yeah keep it real. They get what they deserve . Wnba sucks with or without CC. I'm a fan of hers but I can't watch the games only the highlights . The college game is much better.

WNBA players have been paid exactly what they are worth. The WNBA is a business. The sole purpose for a business is to make money and maximize profits. The WNBA hasn't done that. This is a business, not a charity. Want more money? Produce a better product. There's no shortage of people willing to throw money at profitable entities. It's the unprofitable entities that can't get their calls returned.
