The scam was about bail money. Some people have suggested the scammers said they were cops telling him it wouldn't matter if he called them and, being cops, it would be easy to make good on their threats.

Very possibly an overseas scam. I hope they find them, but possibly not. These scams are occuring all the time. Some scams even have voice recording of loved ones ( from cell phones) to carry out the scam. Call the police if you get a call. Try to get callback number from the scammer.

Alot of the comments are not condemning the man who KILLED HER. The reason why these scams and swatting works is because suburban whites and the police forces are hateful people who shoot anyone not white who dares to enter the suburbs. Watch alot of white people in the comment trying to defend this man. They think it's ok to shoot anyone on their property because they are souless capitalists who only care about property.

Chances are they won't, they probably use the Uber as a money mule, who will then unsuspectingly, drop it off to an address where the package will be stolen and then shipped, or the shipment address, is that of another money mule. I doubt the ladder.

Even in Florida or Texas, if someone is retreating the Castle Doctrine does not apply. If someone is on your property and is actively retreating without holding and trying to steal any of your property, you are NOT allowed to shoot them.

This is what happens when people have guns who shouldn’t be able to have them any longer … this lady lived into her older age and was just out trying to do a job and never made it home to her family …. There is no excuse for this and it breaks my heart for her family …. I don’t want to even imagine what they are dealing with…

And with that low bond he is out now and the trial will take place after he passes! The prosecutor and judge know that! That’s why his bail is so low!! He is not a victim!!

@@Certified_gainster yeah, but even if he hypothetically did`nt have a gun, he could`ve attacked her with a bat. He`s the reason Uber drivers SHOULD be allowed to carry guns and racist nutcases like this should be prohibited.
