A sad aspect to the foster care story is that because it is a class-action lawsuit, the victims of W. Virgina, the "wards of state," won't see much compensation, if any. The money will be gobbled up by lawyers. All 50 states are inept when it comes to "caring" for children.

Money paid to traumatized children is not how to help them; indeed, our Nation’s programs of public assistance benefits are tailored to children first and foremost, and intended to help every child reach adulthood safe and sound. Every child traumatized by this system will be eligible for free assistance to help them heal. This type of class action lawsuit is not about collecting money; it is about achieving court oversight of a broken system, and forcing the state to fix it. A nonprofit group that advocates for children has brought the lawsuit. Bravo to them. Bravo as well to the lawyers who fight hard in these cases for the public interest. Public interest lawyers are not Wall Street lawyers, they work tirelessly to protect rights and advance justice for all, and for modest pay. Let’s not lump all lawyers under a false stereotype, and let’s not assume awarding a child money is somehow better than providing the child the care needed to heal from trauma. I am an adult survivor of childhood abuse and it turned me into a lifetime advocate for abused and neglected children. Best to you.

A new systematic organization that embezzles billions of federal dollars from the government and never helping parents who are just really struggling with economic problems and lack of basic human needs because of environmental issues. It’s all part of a larger systemic problem that has never been addressed for decades!

Since a female cannot get pregnant without a male sperm, Isn’t the solution to simply to give every male at reproductive age a birth control product so that they can’t go around planting their seeds everywhere. That would solve any unwanted pregnancy. It seems the focus has been relentlessly against the female rather than the male who gets a female pregnant to begin with. This is simply common sense but men do not easily or readily agree to having their bodies be the object of focus on this matter.

Currently we spend about 10% of the federal budget on kids. That's all the programs that help kids, and schooling, and food, and a lot more. You'd have known that if you'd done a simple search on google, but you decided to try to make people think you're deep instead.

You think WV's foster care system is bad? Come investigate the Texas system! It's been in court for many years due to its deficiencies and underfunding and mistreatment of youth under its care, and judicial efforts to force reforms have been fought at every step. Many young people have aged out of this system without the life skills necessary to navigate life, and without the minimal care anyone should give a child. If some of those legal fees used to fight this reform effort had been applied to actually reforming it, things would be considerably improved. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THE TEXAS FOSTER CARE SYSTEM!!

I’m a witness to that! My grandchildren were taken and given to their other grandmother and she only gets the checks while my grandchildren are living in another state and are not in her care!! Then Utah is the same way too! Placing minority children in religious homes and allowing them to be forced into medication treatments just to get more federal assistance. Then physically and emotionally abusing them, placing these children in group homes and criminal facilities and still collecting billions of dollars in order to purchase huge mansions. Not just Texas. Workers that need a bachelors to start at the same or less than fast food workers, those with masters BARELY are above the poverty line. Funding can be inconsistent as well. It isn't just the foster system, group homes and rehab facilities are the same. It's almost like underfunding social srrvices makes it hard to attract workers at all much less to stay long term

The state foster care is just another way to make money. Most dont care far the kids, i seen this women have three home in California, full of foster kids, they just base care, she just done with 5 months travel to south Asian Canada and ship ride in Alaska, How she get the money, no other job , no husband, its from the care money far the children, i here out of the three home she have 34 kids in them.

But yet the foster care system continues to allows inhumane treatment to these children all over America! My grandchildren were taken away from me by a caseworker who falsified case notes so that her friend could get foster children and a monthly check. I had kinship and asked her to provide daycare payments to the daycare so I could continue to work. So she lied and said I didn’t want my grandchildren and had them removed from my care. Now both children have been over medicated and used for financial gain. My oldest granddaughter just got out of their care and is doing so much better now since we have reconnected. She graduated from high school and she’s getting counseling for the abuse. This couple still has my grandson and has placed him in a mental health facility we can’t find him! They moved from Utah, possibly because there was going to be an open case, went to Oregon where there was an incident which occurred and an open case was started and now they moved to Idaho. It’s a nightmare, I have videos of them abusing him but no one will listen 😢

I worked both at McDonnell Douglas and Boeing Aircraft from the late 1980s until the late 1990s. Please nobody takes this as criticism to Boeing as I made made friends and worked on great teams. When I work at Douglas we were always having our work inspected for quality.i will be the first to admit everything was perfect. When I went to work for Boeing we were not to speak with a inspector as Boeing policy was to self inspect your work. How was that possible if you did not know what your job was let alone preform it. If you ask anyone (management) they would remove you from the job and put someone to preform the job without asking questions what to do. I honestly didn't think that the managers knew what to or how to perform the job.

Bone spurs usually dissolve on their own. Resting the injury or overuse of the bone is usually the best and easiest known way. Sometimes they do recur and surgery is needed. With all of active Trump including his rallies, no signs the bone spur bothers him.

Excessive use of force, including lethal. Retaliation on protesters. Inhumane treatment of the homeless. Heavy discrimination and profiling in police traffic stops. It is about the worst assessment that the DOJ has ever handed down.
