Great get, Phil!!! I’m a big fan of watching JT who says it all about NFL QB play. He’s really made me a much smarter fan. He’s absolutely the right guy to comment on Maye’s development. You need to have him back when DM starts playing for real.

It's crazy to me that a successful D1 qb didn't have good footwork! However, if he gets it, it will make him much more accurate and a better qb! Then he just has to use basic logic... Short passes with quick throws offer higher percentage completions and limit sacks/fumbles. That was the secret to Brady's unprecedented success!

I am very happy to see an absolute unit like Maye at QB, but Bill screwed the pooch in 2022 and shattered Mac Jones. In a parallel universe Josh McDaniels is still OC coach in waiting at New England and Mac Jones is still QB and playing well. Not elite but good enough to compliment Bill’s D. Bill ducked up. It’s proof that no coach is safe when he screws up the QB

The right way to teach what? If you're talking about footwork, then yes, this is the right way to teach it for this system. There is film of Bill Walsh talking about Joe Montana's footwork and how good it was.

When will Maye be as good a rookie QB as Mac Jones? Good enough to start in game 1, then win 10 games in his rookie season? The Maye story sounds like the Trey Lance story... another Imaginary High Ceiling Guy.

Unless the O line is fixed let Brisette stay out there. That line already ate a first round QB pick. No need to feed them another But are you high? Trey Lance had about 5 minutes of D1 college film. Maye played a lot of ball. Lance was all Twitter hype based on skin tone
