Update (Nov 15, 2023): According to RCDB (rcdb.com/20756.htm), the Dragon coaster from Powers Great American Midways was the same one that operates at Family Kingdom in Myrtle Beach (operated by Powers). Presumedly, Powers will continue to use the Dragon coaster at events when Family Kingdom is closed for the season. Family Kingdom closed for the 2023 season on October 1st.

Yeah. For the price, I expected more shrimp and/or a side of fries. But it was tasty as advertised.

Great coverage! My daughter and I went the last Saturday it was open and it was IMPOSSIBLE to move. Looks like we missed a lot too.

Great video . Powers Great American Midway is the Midway ride provider. Powers contracted out some of the rides and games to Wade Shows. IMHO

Ah, that makes sense! Thank you for pointing that out. I’m always confused by the midway area by the livestock building, which has both Powers and Wade rides close together 😊

We went yesterday. It was fun. We spent a good portion of the day riding rides. And by watching your video I actually saw a ride that I missed. It is called telsa ac. Guess it was in the kiddie section. Should have known. Smh

Awesome! Yeah, Tesla AC is a new ride this year that caught my eye. It's a Tivoli Remix that's operated by Powers Great American Midways. why are they getting rid of the row of restaurants in the building? they have been there forever and not just open for state fair, but most weekends w flea markets and etc.

According to WRAL, the building has issues and needs to be replaced. But instead of a new restaurant row, it’ll become a modern midway events center. There are no plans for the current tenants like the Apex Lions Club 😢 Source: www.wral.com/amp/21051063/

30 of the rides at the fair are owned by powers great american and the rest are wades

Thank you so much, and good question! Personally, I’ll remember 2022 more - but mostly because of Mega Colossus 🤘🏻 I didn’t notice too many differences from 2022 other than a few new flat rides (including Tesla AC and Wipeout). I think the consistency is the charm of the fair, in a way. The local art, displays, food, and performances are what makes it special. It could easily be a child’s best day ever, or a Triangle N.C. family that doesn’t have to make the long drive back home from Carowinds, KD, or Busch Gardens 😁

You should get your information correct before you make and post your videos. Powers great american is the midway provider for the fair Wade shows is brought in to help powers with rides a lot of the bigger rides you said were wades are actually owned by powers and others owned by wade shows.

Ah, I was trying to go off the signs on the rides and the ride operator shirts 🤷🏻‍♂️ - I’ll take a look and see if I can cut out any misinformation; thanks! Update: Yeah, I definitely got two rides wrong. The video is updated now to remove my mistakes. Thank you!
