Minnesota vs Wisconsin. This year's meeting between the Gophers and Badgers has a little more at stake. We're both 7-3 and are in a battle for the chance to play in the Big 10 Championship Game. With a win, that spot is ours. With a loss, things get a little more tricky.

Falcon that's a good idea, I like to use the coverage and bring the safeties up closer to the line. It opens you up for play action, but it does slow the run game down. Also Mr. hurricane football 101 can't throw late, across the body, it's bad news every time! Great fun watching this series! Keep it coming!

Big thing to help stop the run if u ever face a rushing attack like this is to shift ur linebackers in the direction u thing the run is going place. Place ur safeties in yellow zones to play run support. Place olbs in flat zones to set the edge. Choose a stack the box or heavy run stopping formation like 46, 5-2, 4-4 that helps me in my dynasty I've been number 1 against the run for 3 of the 4 years

Tough loss, Melvin Gordon was superb for them though. That TD run was reminiscent of Lynch vs Saints a few years back. The run defense was obviously poor though. Some bigger LBs needed in the offseason I think.

Tough game. They ran all over you. The blocking is way to good for the AI at times. And the safeties when they're in a zone keep backpeddling even after run play starts. The way I counter that is double cover the TE's so they run to the ball faster. That runs the risk of you getting beat deep, but that's why they call it risk vs reward.

Actually the best way to score is to catch the defense off guard with the pass when you normally run the ball.

Something I like to do is look for tight ends who can't catch in recruiting. They can be good offensive lineman, but they're also faster than offensive linemen, which is good for someone who runs a fast-paced no-huddle offense like I do.

Unlucky everyone forces throws sometimes. One tip:if you press L2 and use the right stick you can make your team predict the run or pass or read option etc...

I was playing NCAA 07 recently (don't judge, I love the old Campus Legend mode where you can earn 99 ratings in everything) and Wisconsin had a player named Melvin Gordon...different guy though. It was a randomly generated name for a wide receiver.

you know what i dont understand about this game and madden... that when they rush to the outside and the last man to stop him is your safety, instead of going to tackle the ball carrier, the safety just goes and gets stuck in a block from a linemen or a receiver

Pretty bad play calls on that last drive, I've never been a fan of you calling inside runs with ~1 minute to go.

I'm okay with that call on 2nd down looking back. We've ran that in many peculiar situations when losing late in games, or in short yardage situations on 3rd/4th down. The idea was to play 4 down territory, but the forced pass on 3rd down kind of ruined that.

MrHurriicane I just don't get it when you're not even at midfield. The effect on clock management forces you to either have a huge play or even if the rest of the way you have perfect clock management by the time you get to the redzone you have time for 2 plays at most. I'd say that your previous play calls caused you to try and force that throw with the limited success so far on that drive. I should give you props on the video, I have loved this series from the start.

MrHurriicane On a related note, NCAA just jobbed me out of a victory over #1 Wisconsin at home in my Dynasty. I just hate this game sometimes.

Sometimes I run 4-3 stack thunder green against a team pounding me like Wisc. Only bad thing is if you don't make the stop around line of scrimmage and the back breaks through he is gone!

I really want to see you play in the B1G championship, it might not be this year but sometime. Since there will be no NCAA 15, you could get there plenty of times, who knows maybe even go to the Rose Bowl or the National Championship.

Use a 3-4 defense against Wisconsin, and use a 4-3 against Rutgers.

I didn't like the slants call on that 3rd down because the Ins and Outs with deep stuff carrying the safeties away had been working all game. Go to bread and butter whats been working on tough late game situations.

Rough way to end. The offense shouldn't have rushed too fast in the end since they still had all three timeouts and a minute left. A hurry up just made the selections of plays quite limited.

That offensive line is tuff and the defence is tougher so try to build up the strength of your O-line because u need to get to the rose bowl and i hope andy mckensie becomes good as advertised

Cane if you have three timeouts and a first down ends the game and they have done nothing but run the ball up the middle you need to blitz 6-7 guys to make the stop.

That's backfired against us plenty of times. I wish that it was easier to actually stack guys in the box. The alignment they take when you "show blitz" is a pathetic overload at the best.

They have been, during the idiotic Legends and Leaders divisions era. Starting this year, which 'Cane has adjusted the conference division settings for, they're finally going to a rational, purely geographical East-West format that maintains most of the seasonal rivalries, and allows new ones like Nebraska and Iowa, Wisconsin, and yes, Minnesota, to develop.

You cannot run the ball with 1:40 left. To conservative. And with that interception just throw it away, it still woulda been 4th and 8, Id rather have a 4 and 8 then forcing that throw and it getting picked off.

He could've run it, but only the ~10 yard gainers he often gets out of the Diamond so as to stop the clock on each play. Earlier in the video, he admitted that he wasn't using it that much, so his rushing attack wasn't going to be good enough.

it wasnt so much your run defense was bad, it was just you ALL your blitzes were from linebackers and safeties up the middle. gordon and jackson were just bouncing it to the outside EVERY FRIKIN PLAY. mistake on your part call corner blitzes or sumthing
