As a middle-schooler, I had never heard of the Rangerettes prior to 60 MINUTES interviewing their founder, Gussie Nell Davis, back in the early 1970's. I have been watching their Cotton Bowl half-time shows, ever since! So sad how those performances have been so curtailed by boring half-time stats that (let's face it) really only matter to bookies and compulsive gamblers. 😞
