As a flutist, Mark did nothing wrong when he was playing! Because he only played in elementary school and middle school, he probably played a student flute, which doesn't need you to cover the entire button. But the flute they gave him was a holed flute, which produces better sound, but is much harder to play since you need to cover the entire button to get any good sound out. The note he was playing WAS a D based on the fingering, but he just wasn't covering the entire button. #MarkFluteProtectionSquad
