The pressures of it like body expectations, struggles of keeping relationships private, and I think the hardest of them all is being away from your family. Before they were idols, they were normal people with their mothers and fathers, living together but as they decided to be idols, they had to take sacrifices like leaving them as they move to Korea. But that doesn't mean that they don't talk about their family often, cause that's far from the truth. Cause most of them talk about their families a lot, especially their mothers. As they often joke about their mothers in their videos and lives, we get to see their soft side often when we see them reminisce about their past. In this 2 part series, watch NCT as they talk about their mothers and how they molded them into the people that they are now. 💚

Jaemin’s mom really had a lot of influence on Jaemin🥺 He always said that he resembles her(it’s most likely where he got his very affectionate side). Jaemin’s mom was also the one who influenced him to volunteer and do a lot of philanthropy. A line that Jaemin said that his mom taught him was “if you know how to receive then you know how to give” which translates a lot to how Jaemin is and how important giving is to him. He also recently said that his mom was the most precious person in his life😭 i was also blessed to have my mom and i love her so much too.

Jaemin is everybody's dream son or son-in-law 😭 Also, I suddenly rmb a story Jaehyun told when he once had a little argument with his mom as a teen and it made him realized how his mom is a whole individual first before she became a mother to him and it gave him a new level of understanding and perspective towards her 😭 He said he is reminded of how his mom was also once a young lady with a mind of her own. And I swear, his story made me think of how sometimes we always just view our parents in a narrow perspective but we forget how they are also humans who have complex feelings and makes mistakes and how we can be critical when they arent being the best parents that we expect them to be. Our parents might also have dreams when they were young that they sacrificed for their children or days when they just hate their jobs but still work to get money for the household or times when they get frustrated and accidently lashes it out but still needs to be the parent that their children looks up to. That got deep outta nowhere lmao 😂

Exactly. We view them only as the parents that we know, but growing old, our perspectives change. Now in my twenties, I wonder how my parents are when they were my age. And in their age now, have they fulfilled their dreams? Have they been living a happy life? Did I, in one way or another, somewhat stopped them from reaching their personal goals? They had me in their mid 20s. I was told nothing in the world could ever replace me, but still I can’t help but wonder about how they were before they even knew me and had me.

actually in Korea, calling 'mom!' is like a habit that many korean people have done since childhood. When you are happy, sad, or surprised, etc.. at any time, we call 'mum'. Koreans usually say Eomma!, Eommaya! or Eommeona! +eommeona doesn't mean mum, but we say it a lot.

I have read in a psychology journal that children even adult children calls for their mom when they feel pain or joy or sadness because it is our primal instinct, they were the ones who gave birth and nurtured us first so we want to share/acknowledge our happiness or grief to them. And that holds true to everyone. Also, it would be that the moms are the more forgiving or understanding parent in this situation.

I’m really thankful for their moms tbh. Their moms raised them well to the point every time something happens they mention them. That just proves how well their raised, and that they know who really worked hard for them. If their mom didn’t let them follow their dream then I don’t think we would have neo crack technology today.

Renjun said that jaemin is working so hard that he always forgot to eat so when there's a chance renjun ordering a lot of food and call jaemin to eat with him and then renjun will left him. bcoz he knows jaemin is not going to stand up unless he finished all the food. overall, watching this video really warms my heart on how much they adore the people that gave birth to them. i myself never really got to know my mother, as we never got to meet each other (the last time we saw each other was when i was 3) and seeing them genuinely express how much they appreciate and love their parents (especially their mothers) really warms my heart. thank you cherryverse for this lovely content, i've never knew till this i'd needed a compilation of them (nct) interacting and mentioming about their moms in my life. lots of love, keep up the great work! :D
