Fingers are still crossed for NCT Japan! When the company discussed more units that one was up there. Yuta would be a given, Johnny is good with languages & Ten's been studying Japanese lately which the last time something like that happened he was added to WayV. There still is hope.

15:22 so Chenle wanted to join SM ROOKIES but they decided to debut him right away lol. Understandable though, he already sang in TV shows (China's Got Talent) and had his own concert AS A KID, knows how use a mic and equipments, have acted in a C-drama, participated in interviews and plays piano. Chenle basically had all the exposure of a celebrity and just needed to learn Korean and how to dance. Also, I think they casted him a bit late cuz he debuted only 5 months after SM reached out to him, very impressive for a 13 years old.

chenle debut in a very short time reminds me of chen and baekhyun. they're also debuting less than a year, and already an amazing vocalist. same goes to chenle, his vocal is top-notch!

I just realized that only Renjun and Chenle weren't part of SM Rookies. Although at one point Renjun did live with some of them pre debut. Glad that they eventually fit right in with the family 😊

Yeah, they weren't. I think they are the only two members out of the 23 members that weren't part of the SM Rookies crew.

@@kierahan5484 Sungchan and Shotaro were part of SM Rookies and were announced as SM Rookies before they debuted, just that they didn't train with the debuted members, but they trained with Jungwoo and Lucas. Renjun and Chenle were actually the only ones who were not part of SM Rookies lol So I didn't forget about Sungchan and Shotaro, I think you are the one who forgot lol

4:12 I still wonder what their living arrangements are like back then. It sounds like they lived in a double storey house or smth. Knowing at one point Renjun actually lived with Doyoung(and probably with the others in hyung line) How interesting is that??? Stuff like this only happens in NCT lol Can you guys imagine a reality show with all 21 members??? Let them loose, do missions, perform for talent night or smth, jamming, play soccer and basketball, go swimming, go ghost hunting, cooking and then set the house on fire🤣🤣🤣

I would love that variety show!!! But they have individual schedules now and it might be hard to get them all together at the same time, which is why I think its hard to do that kind of variety show 😭

I think I saw a Super Junior member said that NCT lived in Super Junior's old dorm. And according to Super Junior's story of their old dorm, it was 2 units apartment, one building but different floors (11th and 12th floor) but the walls are so thin that they can communicate between 11th and 12th floor by shouting at each other 😂

Why do some unit stans question Ten's friendship with the rest of the units though? Lol I'm a 10vely and have loved NCT ever since rookie days, it doesn't make sense to doubt. Ten would never lose that bond he has with all the members, he even said now that he knows how to drive he wants to go on a trip w Johnny and Mark. He loves all 20 NCT members, he's a social butterfly like that uwu

He was originally supposed to be with 127 but then they swapped him and Jungwoo last minute (which is why Jungwoo knows mandarin but Ten is still studying it) probably because of the political tension between the 2 countries.

There were plans for NCT China debut in 2017 but it was buried by SK-China problems, Johnny was supposed to be there and probably Doyoung too and Jungwoo probably too, he learnt Chinese since his predebut times. Eventually they attempted to make NCT Vision in 2018 and even registered that name if I remember right but there were troubles with direct management from SM and NCT in the name of the unit so debut was postponed, Regular was released by 127 first and then we had WayV. Ten started to learn Mandarin around like April-May of 2018 or smth like that so that's probably the time SM decided to put him in Chinese unit bcuz he's ethnically Chinese and not Korean in any way except of being in Korean group under Korean management. They doubtfully made any plans on him before bcuz of his knee problems and also army lottery so after he was said he can't be in army bcuz of his health they started make plans about him more freely.

Ten was supposed to be the one joining 127 and jungwoo with wayv because jungwoo is friends with all of WayV members including xiaohenyang and was studying chinese, and he was decent at it (flashback to jungwoo speaking chinese on the china line live). Do y'all know how I feel thinking of how there is an alternate universe out there where Jungwoo debuted in WayV XD
