Grease was the word this morning at Naperville North High School as seniors celebrated the first day of school.
As part of a long standing tradition, on the first day the Senior class dresses in theme and runs through the halls after the first bell rings. This year the student-selected theme is Grease Lightning.
This was also the first day of school for North’s new principal Stephanie Posey.
“I’ve had a lot of information given to me about the traditions of the first day with the senior class, and I have to say it was exciting, when you see a class of students come together and this actually brings unity to that group and that class. It’s a good day, it means they’re glad to be huskies and they’re glad to be here at school,” said Posey.
Just in time for the start of school, Newsweek announced that Naperville North, and Naperville Central are both among the top 100 public high schools in the nation.
