Күн бұрын

One of the world's most revered leaders and a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, the Dalai Lama in an exclusive interview to NDTV spoke for the first time on the self-immolation a few weeks ago of a 16-year-old Tibetan boy. Interestingly, he said he will not openly condemn these self immolations for the Tibetan cause though he is saddened by them. Speaking on the NDTV Dialogues, he said, "I expressed my sadness but I also expressed how much effect such a drastic step has. If you criticise, that is also difficult. If the family members hear the Dalai Lama criticise self-immolation, a negative attitude, they would be tremendously sad. I don't want that. I can't also encourage such incidents so I just keep quiet. Let the Chinese say what they say."

+Abhinav Srivastava Sikhs come under Dharmic religion. And they are very much similar to dharmic system. please do a little research before commenting and no need to show biasness. Many of my friends are Sikh and I have done a lot of research on Dharmic Indian religions and how "Dharma" unites them.
@mahamad9745
@mahamad9745 7 жыл бұрын
@Abhinav Srivastava .. Hindu is the geographical identity of sikhs. First of all you should understand that Hindu is not a religious identity. Hindu is a geographical identity. Hindu is a persian word coined by persians to identify the people living between himalayas and indus river. All those people who were at the east side of sindhu/ indus river were called Hindus by persians. Also Hindustan was always a land of seekers, It was never a land of believers. seekers are those people who accept that we dont know the truth and they continuously seek for the truth.. while believers are those people who assume that they already know the truth because its written in their holy books Now if you have understood the above then you will understand that Sikhism is a wisdom of this land or Dharma preached by Gurus and not a religion. .. Please do some research to understand the difference between Dharma and religion. This is why Sikhs are part of Hindus because they are people of the land too.

He has rekindled our interest in our ancient thought and is the only one who speaks of ethics in this country! We have in a way let down Tibet, still without bitterness, he has done India proud in every way! He should have been the natural choice for the Chancellor of the Nalanda University; Nalanda tradition has been kept alive and nurtured only in Tibetan Culture! You never have an idea about how close Indo-Tibetan relationship before China invaded Tibet after that. I think you are born baby about all that long history. India and Tibet have been sharing whole things culture to food and clothes. And yes to your question, Tibetans are fighting with China, not only for Tibetan. If Tibetan only want to fight with china for their own benefits of commercial and just political, I think they needn't fight that hard and sacrificed that much lives of Tibetan with that world super power nation. Tibetan can shut up and follow Chinese order and take all advantages as all other minorities get under its rule. You won't have an idea about how much money Chinese government offering to minorities for build business and interest-free loan. Do you believe they are offering more than 1 Crore INR to each family who is obedient to their order and just kept silent, but no, they are not silent under this types of financial aid. Becuase their goal is not just for Tibetan, it is for the world and especially for all over Asia. If you can't understand just learn about only the Brahmaputra.

India government must give Barat Ratna to His holiness Becoz he is just like a great teacher of Nalanda university & now he share old & precious Nalanda knowledge for whole world that is start from India. He is the only one great person in this world now to keep save old Indian Nalanda wisdom. If Barat Ratna award give to his holiness don't make him as proud but we Indian are so lucky to give him this precious award for him.

kyile chukey Yes, you absolutely have the right to address him in your own way, what is comfortable to you. The reason I gave my comment is because I think all human beings should strive for being as peaceful and open minded as this person. But by calling him holy it makes him so far out of reach while he too is just a simple human being, but with different experiences. My intention was purely to share this idea, and yes you have every right to describe a person the way you like.

If you carefully listen to the entire interview, you will find out that the interviewer's questions are full of negativity. Not a single question that she has asked is about promoting positive values, education, equality or anything. She is more interested in asking than listening. However, these negative questions were rightly answered by logical and positive statements.
