In times of fear and uncertainty, take comfort from the inspiring and powerful message of “Nearer My God to Thee.”
Vocal Majority’s latest video release comes at a time when we all seek reassurance. The Latin lyrics in this song, when translated to English, sends the inspiring message that “with God helping, nothing should be feared.”
The unique arrangement comes from James Stevens, a former member of BYU’s Vocal Point, who writes, “This arrangement truly came to me as a gift from God. Thus, I have decided that it belongs to everyone. Please use it as much as you would like to praise His name forever.”
The video features an ensemble of nine quartet Gold Medalists from the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Association of International Champions.
It is worthwhile to mention that the song was recorded prior to social distancing measures.
We hope you enjoy and share this powerful arrangement of “Nearer My God to Thee.”
Excelsior!
