Supercharged storm blasts lightning bolts all around me. #shorts
Violent thunderstorms are the best weather.
On the evening of September 7, 2020, clusters of thunderstorms began forming along a stalled out frontal boundary just to my south. I decided to check them out since they were prolific lightning producers from from the beginning. I positioned myself just on the southern edge of the storms and was treated to a few hours of some of the most intense lightning I've ever witnessed.

It's beacuse the negative ionization charges the air and helps us rid our body of free radicals and toxic frequencies from EMFs. It's beautiful. Also, the Earth's crust retains the negative ionization (in this case negative means good) that's why people love taking their shoes off and walking around outside. It's grounding.

Question. So we’ve seen vehicles struck by lightning. Often it hits the antenna, and runs to ground, typically destroying wiring and other things all the way down. So what modifications can you make to encourage lightning strikes to take less destructive routes to ground? Would quarter inch copper grounding rod bent around your frame and braised to it all the way down to your wheels work? I’m not anything close to an electrician so my grasp of the subject is almost worse than layman.
@kellynolen498
@kellynolen498 2 жыл бұрын
remove the antenna is the easiest it's hooked into the radio wireing extending it's range you could also rubberized the antenna I don't know what the next closest path to ground would be though
@kratz9
@kratz9 2 жыл бұрын
The issue with lightning is the super high voltage. Can be above 100 million volts. Even with a stout copper rod, there is little chance of keeping all voltage out of other paths. Electricity concentrates on the path of least resistance, but it still will take all other paths it can. Steel can sometimes only be 3% as conductive as copper. So you may be able to send (roughly) 97MV through that rod, but the other 3MV are still rummaging around the vehicles body.

Still remember being at a camp where someone left their keys at the bottom of a tree. We were in a semi forested area, and even though there were many other high objects, the thunder still chose that tree as a strike point, which was like 5 meters from the nearest tent. Everyone ran to the main administrative building, and the tree was split open afterwards, and looked like molten cheese kn the inside

@@Djerniss the keys were a metal conductor, and since they were so close to the tree and the earth (someone left them practixally up against the tree), it somehow provided an easier path to ground compared to the other trees, and so the tree got destroyed (i dont even know how such a minute difference of just metal keys at the botton of a tree can cause such results, but apparently it can...)

The worst lightening I've seen was in New Jersey of all places. I would dismiss it as me confusing a childhood dream with a memory except everyone who was there also remembers it. It had to have been nearly a lightening strike per second within a block of us. For some reason we were running from the car to my grandparents house and during that short time half a dozen or so strikes hit within roughly 40 meters of us. Later on I remember looking out a window and seeing what might have been ball lightening--a colorful ball of light that hung in the air outside for less than a minute and then vanished with a loud bang. The next day several trees had been toothpicked and at least one neighbor's house had caught fire. Other houses had small holes blown through them but no fire. Even living in Florida for decades, I never saw anything close to that much lightening in one storm.
