Who had mixed reactions? This is a home run hire. An absolute home run hire. This nfl stud took a demotion to get this job with the understanding he would be first in line for the soon to be vacant DC job. How anyone can have second guesses or concerns, worries etc about this hire is beyond me. And this wasn’t unexpected, about cooper. At least rhule wasn’t shocked. This started months ago when Albert’s was here. Lawyers got involved and cooper had no say in this matter and that’s as far as I’m saying. Cooper is a great guy, everything is good with coooer and all the coaches, he didn’t break any laws. He will land on his feet somewhere.

Regardless of why Cooper resigned, if he wants to continue coaching I have no doubt someone will want to pick him up. A good, young coach, a great evaluator of talent, and experience in the NFL.

It was shocking but coming back with what looks like a good hire softens the sting. Right before camp sucks but having Butler immediately hopefully keeps recruits and helps current team with his NFL experience and ties. I like Busch on the ticket with sip. Don’t mess up my morning show

100% he was promised the DC job. Still relatively young but a lot of experience/success and hungry to move up the coaching ladder. Definitely an upgrade, and I don't think recruiting will be impacted much, NFL DB coaching experience can be a big selling point to recruits.

People need to get over this habit of just requesting former coaches or players. Busch is five minutes from age 60 and he doesn’t want to go back to working 100 hour weeks as an assistant. If Busch was to come back, it would be in an analyst position with less work load. Working for rhule is t a 9-5 gig. Busch is happy in his new life.

He was a good evaluator/recruiter but our secondary was the weakest link on the defense. Against decent offenses they got burned a lot

Still waiting for that official announcement but….good hire. He’ll have no issue picking up the DB room and will have a full year or 2 to learn and tweak the 335 his way. Rhule probably will be a heavy guide on the new 335 but things shouldn’t skip a beat if that’s the plan.

I follow your channel because you apparently have more access and/or time to focus on details of Nebraska football. This was a flop for me because it's all around the deep dive and nothing else. It would have landed better for me if it was rolled into a greater show that I could relate to. I follow other channels and they at least have a soft intro into the story.
