I agree. People say time heals but I don't believe that. Not when it comes to a parent losing a child. That pain will never go away until the day of reunion, in Heaven. There's a special bond or link between a mother and their child, that you can actually feel when something is wrong. My heart would literally be ripped into pieces if anything happened to one of my babies.

@@tinamarie1948 While the question make me cringe it does though underline that there are more to the pain than the loss itself. Few personsreaching adulthood will go about life without mourning somebody but there is probably way worse with the knowledge that the loved one's last moment was in horror and pain at the wilful hands of somebody else compared to dying of cancer, in an accident while doing something they loved (while such deaths also may be pain- and fearful it's likely more chance to be at peace with the loss).

@sussybaka551

Statistics have shown that murders occur in close proximity from victim, to accuser. I'm sure the police have spoke with everyone there, but at the end of the day, there has to be clear, factual evidence to convict, even if they think they know who it is. I know they'll eventually find who it is though. DNA forensics is on another level.

Wow, this comment section is ridiculous. Creating and raising a human life to become a productive adult is the greatest accomplishment to many, many women. Just because someone doesn't want children, doesn't mean that someone else doesn't, or shouldn't. Many, many women want a traditional family. First of all, her mother was joking. Secondly, I think her parents know her better than you do, they would know if she wanted children. Who cares if you don't want children, you're not the subject of this video, or do you just have to talk about yourself every chance you get.

Kelcey regularly walked her dog, so it is quite possible she developed a friendly relationship with someone she often saw and talked to on the walks allowing her dog to get used to that person. I comment this way because I have friendly encounters with people when I am out walking my dogs, and the dogs are friendly with those people too. Some males view the friendliness of a woman as being an invitation for something more, which might have occurred with someone Kelcey viewed as just an acquaintance. If they showed up at her door, she might not have perceived them as a threat. They could have even been there under the pretense of bringing a treat or toy for the dog. There is a reason the dog did not end up near where she was found making an attempt to help her. That makes me also wonder how the dog died. I also question why nobody in the mobile home park heard Kelcey, unless she was subdued too fast for her to make a commotion. I seriously doubt the killer was a complete stranger to her.

You may very well be right. A friend of mine told me a few years ago she learnt a very good lesson recently, 'I'll never again make idle chat with a guy/anyone when walking Pixie (her dog)' she used to chat to a guy who used to mysteriously appear in front of her whenever she took Pixie walking. One night around 11 he came knocking (pixie also never barked) on her door with a 'pls can you help me with my mobile phone its frozen & I need to make an urgent call' she wouldnt let him in, (bear in mind she had never told him where she lived) she specifically made detours home to shake him off following her after he stopped to chat . But he still found her, she moved a few days later. But it shook her up badly. It was later discovered he lived an hour away from the doggie park, Who travels one hour to a doggie park but doesnt even own a dog...major red flags...suspect to me..

There is no stopping a basset either. He doesn’t like it when I’m upset with him but he doesn’t give a damn when he gets to barking. Even squirting him with water doesn’t do much. @@noneya1238 I care with or without the weird descriptions they give the women each time, but majority of their descriptions are unnecessary. It could’ve easily been “the bright 21 year old was looking forward to starting a new job” because being petite has nothing to do with starting a new job. Plus they just got done with discussing all the activities she was involved in or at least took a liking to- art, music, dance- and then talking about how she was happy. So “bright” would mean she was smart and she had hopes for her future ahead and wouldn’t randomly go from being happy to discussing her figure

@@annie5168 Maybe to you, and I don't care either to an extent, but it matter to the rest of the population. Looks matter, and people are more interested when the story is sexualized or if that person was attractive. That is why all the famous missing women and children are blonde hair and blue eyes. They have a marketing team and they do what will get them clicks. I think wealth matters too. I watch crime stories and they always make the victims and their family look wealthy and attractive, but when you look them up they weren't, and they were also pretty poor, that changes things for me, honestly because we expect people like them to do those things and it isn't interesting anymore.

I think this is what most parents want for their daughter, to get married and have babies. I don't see the problem. Most parents don't want their daughter out sleeping around, and bringing 5 babies home to 5 different guys. They said he was a good man. What did you want her to be with a woman? Some people actually do find love and want to settle down and start a family. Not everyone wants to be single and slutty, and sit at a bar every weekend. Some people have goals. She wanted her daughter to be happy, and it looks like she was very happy with that man. Contrary to what some of you think, men are not toxic. She wanted a happy, healthy, normal, traditional family for her daughter. There is nothing wrong with that.

There is nothing worse than that conversation when the police and detectives show up at your doorstep. I remember this vividly when my father was killed...that gut wrenching pain. The pain of watching my mother fall to her knees- that horrible scream of desperation my mother made as she fell to her knees when we were told “is Christopher your husband?- were so sorry to tell you, but he was killed at 530pm today, he didn’t make it...” I will never forget that evening, we heard ambulances and sirens rushing to his aid while my mother made dinner, and made a comment about how horrible it was because someone must’ve passed away from the amount of sirens flying by our house. Little did we know, those sirens were for my dad, those ambulances were for my daddy... and that person who “must’ve passed away” was my dad.. I don’t wish traumatic deaths of family members on anyone. It’s the worst pain I could ever describe. It’s the most lonely, lost, unexplainable feeling, EVER. 💕

(i.e when the voice goes 'its my fiance xyz' at that moment attempt to redirect that narration into a neutral thought as best you can - 'Its a police car, whatever it is, I can prepare myself mentally/ I will know what to do if it's news for me') you could probably come up with a better example, but hope that offers a lil' bit of actionable option for you as you heal from the trauma xx. Roxanne Abbott yea if your going to say the boyfriend is clean in this kind of situation without going into those details it makes it feel like they didn’t look into him hard enough.

Rebecca Buschhorn The dog was innocent. The woman was too but she must have been the target not the dog so the dog was an innocent bystander. And the dog is most likely smarter than you.

Did they not check local gas station cameras???? Check the boyfriend's phone calls around the time of her murder as well.

One of the few times that I've seen everyone interviewed probably telling the truth to the best of their knowledge. Heartbreaking, and I hope this case gets solved, for everybody's benefit.

So awful. I live about 2 1/2 hours from Kearney. I remember when this happened. I say, question her coworkers, her b.f.'s friends, and look at all the neighbor's criminal histories. Whoever it was, knew she was alone.

What kind of stupid question is this “how did that make you feel” after being told your daughter did not survive she’s gone..

Kelcey was a beautiful young lady, God knows what she went through, I wish God helps them catch whoever is responsible for Kelley's murder, and give her parents justice ⚖ amen.

How are they so sure the boyfriend had nothing to do with it just because he was conveniently out of town during the murder? He could have still orchestrated the entire thing

They questioned and investigated him first. He was working so he likely had multiple people who saw him at work and were with him at the time of the murder. I think it was someone who was stalking her and noticed he was out of town that night

I think that the person was a person that one of her neighbors know, that had their eye on her to know she has a dog....and to be able to know her activity enough to know when she was alone...I also think that the person knew he would have to get in ASAP and immediately sneak up on her dog to kill him first to avoid him barking...but I think she still might have heard something off and went to check and was bombarded which was why she was found right outside of her bedroom door. Normally I always suspect neighbors... because neighbors get to see all of your movement throughout the day or enough to know what time you do this or that, what times you leave and come home and how long you're away from your house...but since there's surveillance that caught a car...makes me think a well known acquaintance of one of her neighbors
