Best neca Jason so far. Attention to detail is amazing for the price.

Hell yes, so glad to finally see your review! Typically I have to wait a month or two longer for NECA figures to release where I live, but I got this figure over a week ago and I absolutely love it, and I knew from your earlier Jason reviews where you mentioned this being your favorite design that you'd feel the same. It's taking up the center spot of my horror shelf and he's a high contender for my figure of the year, it'll be hard for any future release to top it. Double elbows and good ankle range is something the other Jason figures are lacking so I'm glad to see it here. At this rate the only other Jason I feel I need from NECA is part 8, I agree I used to hate that design since it was crap as a follow up to this design, but over time I really like that look aside from the face. I also re-watched The New Blood because of this new figure and that one doesn't hold up too well, especially after part 6 being so different and full of personality, part 7 is just dull to me aside from Kane Hodder's performance/look as Jason, and some of the other effects that weren't cut out. I finally got Chucky earlier this year since even though I've never had too much interest in those films I can't deny how iconic he is, now I like that figure enough to where I might get one of those Puppet Master sets. I know there's a few horror icons we're still waiting on, I need some Critters and a Tarman, but for some reason the one I want the most is Pumpkinhead, that's something NECA could easily pull off and he'd be so different from the other 80's horror figures we've got, legal issues is the only thing I can see holding them back.

The Mcfarlane one is based on the comic version of Jason- most notably the Jason V Learherface comics

Actually the lawsuit didn't affect this release, there wasn't a time limit for this release but there is for others so neca held this back to get those out. Lmao that stings but glad to finally have it, mine comes tomorrow! I'm stoked! Awesome review he looks like the best neca Jason! Imo edit: yo the old Jason 7 looks like he's got better painted teeth! That skit is hilarious

This figure looks awesome! They really captured the look of Jason from Part 7 perfectly. That unmasked head looks exactly like a poster I used to have on my wall as a kid and they nailed every detail. Plus, those accessories are next level awesome to include. They'd work with so many figures! ;) Looking at his body, I kept thinking it'd make a great Big Ben from 'House' custom. Heck, the unmasked head almost works for him, too, all you need is an Army helmet. .... sigh, now I just want Neca to make a Big Ben. ;) Your endings are a work of art! ^_^

Part 7 Jason is the first Neca thing I can call an “Action Figure” in years

These figures are so good and I love how you don't gotta change the head for a different mask but you can take the mask off and put it back on

Part 9 isn’t as cool but I would love to get an ultimate and it’ll be cool if he came with the dagger and the necronomicon from evil dead

Fun fact you can actually see a dent in Jason‘s knee that is not on there because that piece broke off it was actually from part three where that girl stabbed her in the knee with a knife it actually went through his knee and that’s why it’s there

I have them all so far...even have his mom! Now they need to make the ultimate Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Goes To Hell & Jason X. This one comes with all the tools he used to kill in part 7 which is awesome! Part 3 is always my favorite in the franchise but part 7 is definitely 2nd on my list...great review man

I see they are using digital paint apps. You can really tell on the mask in person. I guess all of these manufactures are heading for that. Hasbro and Mattel are big user of that dot ink jet paint app look. Must be cheaper. Great figure tho! Love it.
