You can use your pickaxe to mine graves and tombs on vampire graveyads underground for extra loot. And as someone said put a boat in your "mount" slot, so boat will use itself automaticalyy when needed (or by some key, i haven't played this game for some time).

AA, you can use the numbers on the keyboard to select that item in the hotbar - that way, you can select the tool/weapon you want (especially in combat, for quick-access). I didn't see you use it, and it makes the game so much more fluid.

If you farm the first boss a few times you can get more of those foci things that combine into one pretty OP trinket once you get them all. (plus more demonic bars if you still need those for later)

Just incase you don't know the boat can go into your mount slot until you get a riding mount!

The first time I ventured down into the snow caves I ended up inside a spider cave and immediately popped the egg without seeing it or even knowing it was a thing. Just lucky I guess.
