Necklace and earrings using sand in paint, polymer clay

I used kaleidoscope paint for this which has sand in, but also tried adding sand to paint myself and got the same result.
I used a ratio of approx 1/4 sand to 3/4 acrylic.
Things I used alongside basic clay tools:
* copper leaf
* fine sand
* Acrylic paint
* cutters
* findings
* gold edging pen or gold paint
* Lace or other texture
* copper mica

These are astonishing Fi.. thanks for the close up at the end.. colours were so much more vivid on my screen. Reminds me of a faded tapestry. Great tips as usual.. I may even have some fine sand 🙏🏽🙏🏽💐

I would have liked to have seen highlights with a copper pen and then copper findings, since the foil was copper.

I haven't, but you could subtly Varnish those areas.

Thanks, You can use kaleidoscope paint with sand in or add your own to acrylic

Thanks, Without watching it again lol (brain fog) , I can't remember what I did, but if I did I would have used a layer of matt varnish 🙂

Brain drain 🙃 I can't remember without rewatching it lol, but if I was going to I would use a matt varnish. But if the top layer is just paint no need.

Beautiful as usual. I only started playing with polymer clay. May I ask why when I use gold foil my pieces burning? What am I doing wrong? ( I bake it in recommended temperature and cover them with aluminium foil ) 🤔

Hi Magdalena, do you use a thermometer in your oven? Your oven may be spiking. Or, your aluminum foil may be touching your pieces too. Or last thing I can think of is maybe it’s the type of foil you are using. I was watching a paper crafting video and the lady said different foils react to heat differently when heated at certain temps. Just some thoughts. ❤️❤️
