He tabs the music and gives it to the band members. Thats an interesting process for a band - more like a classical composer writing for an orchestra than some guys jamming. Fucking works!

i think this is pretty common. i mean, it’s what my high school prog metal band did 😂. complicated songs take too long to teach to each other band member in person, esp if you have a job, school, family, etc taking up most of your week

@@meshzzizkcommon 15 years ago? 🤔
@meshzzizk9 ай бұрын
@@JulianEmdon i mean, i am 37 so we were doing this 20+ years ago. how is that relevant? there was easily accessible guitar tab and music notation software available then and honestly you can just type up tabs in notepad with dashes, it’s not that hard.
@meshzzizk9 ай бұрын
@@JulianEmdon i, the other guitarist, and the drummer all wrote songs by ourselves, which we’d then transcribe into software like finale to convert it to midi, then print copies of the notation/tabs and burn cds of the midi track for the other band members to take home and learn for the next band practice

Muhammed sounds like a really down to earth guy, awesome interview.
@martinparidon90563 жыл бұрын
According to some sources, he's kind of not so easy to deal with personally. He wants to write everything himself and he is very critical. Again, that is according to several interviews and other sources about him. So not first hand experience. But in the end, there must be a reason why they just stopped existing.
@reav3rtm2 жыл бұрын
@@martinparidon9056 I also think his ego contributed to ultimate demise of the band. Onset of putrefaction was from the beginning Suicmez solo album, only with Epitaph he started opening up a bit. But just for Muenzner. Drummer didn't get any creative input and was supposed to play pre-programmed drums like on OoP. Today he could just release entire album online, perhaps just invite musicians to record real drums, without the need to have a band to support it with live shows.

This guy is so humble. Most people would agree that Necrophagist is a technically and musically superior band than Slayer, but he would still rather open than head a tour with them. Shows how much he respects metal's roots.

@Henry14arsenal200714 жыл бұрын
@AdamBlack88 Yeah, but it depends what you focuse on during practice and how dedicated you are. If someones been playing for 10+ years and is a blues virtuoso, it doeant mean he can play Necro songs. If you focus on sweeping and harmonic minor scale practice as well as just playing technical riffs in general, it is quite possible to paly their stuff. Theres a guy on youtube whos been playing for less than 3 years but covered the whole Epitaph album in entirety. I myself can play Stabwound

Maybe you should take another listen at Necrophagist because you pretty much just described them. And yes, they use quintuplets... I mean really, all of Necrphagist's songs have a new, different recurring theme that the previous song doesn't have. They are all written in different tempos and just have a completely different sound... I WOULD agree that the solos do lack a bit of variety, but if you take a hard listen to Necrophagist, I think you'll understand what I mean.
