@@blackwinterday89 comment got erased because it contained an URL >.< Search for Sean Conway's "Doc Nasty Kicks kit" sample pack. It contains 17 kick drum samples - they sound fuckin awesome! What I love about them is that really piercing sound! The one I am using in that video is the one without any number at the end. Enjoy! :)

what do drummers from hell and jazz drummers have in common? they don't hit hard, ALL wrist and arms close to the body (that's where you get speed from). look at rock or grunge drummers and they're all flaying around...

Great analysis! I never thought you have to sacrifice power for speed. Maybe that's why I can't play blast beats at 250bpm using only rimshots. I don't know if "rebound" is the correct term, but maybe I should try that out.
