Ned Rush is an infotaining universe of ideas for ways to make music, including areas of music production, music composition, sampling, synthesisers and sound design in software like Ableton, MaxMSP, Reason, and on hardware such as eurorack modular, Elektron boxes like the Octatrack and Analog Rytm, also visual art strategies using Jitter, focusing on music genres such electronica, IDM, glitch, jungle, breakcore, electro-acoustic, musique concrete, as well as discussing music via interviews and podcasts, and music performances via livestreams.

Ned, with the Velocity, if you have it set to 0, then it gates the note. So, when you macro it, set the lowest to 1, if any of that makes sense.

I mount a camera over the monitor, then use the software to orient it so it looks like I did something else. Keeps it out of the way and makes the whole idea a lot more fun to enact. Just sayin'. I do stuff like this all the time, but with more LFOs and Camel Crushers. Cheers.

Hey Ned, Im a new fan, your pretty great at everything. Im sure theres a link somewhere but is there somewhere to hear music youve released? You have helped me so much in only a few months and i feel like I need to know more about my mentor. Edit - I asked about some Otto von stuff on another video, this video will help. Change clean guitar to bad sounding metal guitar chugs and ill be able to make some weird riffs. thanks bud

Thanks mate, Id tell you my soundcloud but i forgot it and its probably full of weird black metal and punk. Ill check it out, again thanks mate. From a 7-8 year old video of Shitmat and you actually showing secrets for music, I have been able to do things ive been trying since I was like 15 trying to get into Brisbane school for music (I didnt get in cos I was too young and I used 'Hammerhead' as my drum program..........)

I don’t know pro tools that well when it comes to midi but all you’d need is an arpeggiator and a sampler that slices.

@@NedRush its really that retrigger on the arp feature thats essential for this to work that alot I just skimmed over dont seem to have. Looks like im getting ableton!
