I length the cane by one notch for "off-toad" mode. 10 days at scout camp, it works well.

Seems like this would very quickly lead to tripping over it. And besides, a walker requires lifting at stairs sometimes ... But this needs lifting at EVERY STEP

I dunno. I see what they went for but it seems cumbersome to me. Stairs it looks great but i just want some sort of 'off roading' boot for my cane.

Where can I find one of those? I hate my walker! I have MS and I am left side weak so my right arm gets a lot of work out with my walker I hate that thing... But that would be perfect

This thing is really cool. However, the music sucks--too annoying, and too loud. If this had been around a few years ago, there is a very good chance that I would have bought a couple of them (2 bad knees). I bought a pair of offset handled quad canes back then, and a couple of years ago I added a Nova Mini Mac to my stable of mobility equipment. Even so, I still think your device is a great choice.

Do you have recommendations for an off road walker? My Grampo lives rurally and there's a lot of uneven ground, so he doesn't like to use his walker with the more fragile wheels.
